My room was spotlessly clean. The hosts were attentive without being overbearing; just the right balance. Good value for money given the area. Excellent breakfasts; the best fried eggs I've had in years.

We stayed at the English Rose at Bexhill for one night on arrival we were welcomed warmly. our room was plenty big enough for our needs, well presented and good furniture, we had everything we required in the room. Our beds were very very comfortable and we had a pleasant nights sleep. The hotel was centrally located just a short walk from the town centre. The next morning we went down for our breakfast which was plentiful and scrummy and a great variety. All in all itwas a grade A stay and we would certainly book this hotel again. A big thankyou to Malcolm & Tracey.

Room Tip: No tips necessary as a great hotel

My ideal B&B is a farm out in the country with views over green fields and a few dogs wandering around, but given that this is in suburbia it's as good as you will get
Parking wasn't brilliant, the road was full so had to park in sidestreet, it wasn't raining so to walk 100 yards didn't matter
The owner is really friendly, there is no hassle with paying deposits when you first arrive or anything uncivilised like that
Everything is new and very clean. New carpets, comfortable bed, excellent fast free Wi-Fi and good phone signal on orange
Warm and quiet
Breakfast - back etc, fine
Cost: only £39, a complete bargain
Overall it's a really good (and great value) bed-and-breakfast. Nothing exciting or unique, but then do you want that?

From Vancouver Island to Bexhill-on-Sea. From the moment we were welcomed we were made to feel comfortable. A much appreciated pot of tea with biscuits was brought to our room by Tracy. Malcolm's breakfasts are legendary. He especially provided black pudding as I had mentioned it as a favourite. The rooms were truly lovely. It was a family occasion involving nine guests. We all enjoyed and appreciated our stay thanks to Tracy and Malcolm's special care and attention.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.
