There is a paucity of hotels and accommodation in this area so it was delightful to find this gem. Huge double room decorated in country style, small single with pull out bed below and sofa bed downstairs. Nice kitchen with big farmhouse table and lounge with small t.v. Although its based on a working farm there wasnt any noise or activity during our visit. Not even a rooster (thank goodness!)
This was my second visit to the Oast house and was as relaxing and enjoyable as the first. Beautiful quiet surroundings, and the cottage itself is lovely, with everything you need, including a very comfortable large bed, and a kitchen that is well stocked with cooking implements and crockery. The farm is perfect for long walks.
this is a place we have stayed at on a number of previous trips and is perfectly located for family that lives nearby, we loved the self contained nature and all amenities provided
Wonderful cottage fitted with every facility. The large private garden was great for the kids to play in.
The Oast is clean , warm and set in lovely countryside on a farm. The double bed is extremely comfortable with quality bed linen. Daphne kindly left us a welcome pack of bread, eggs, butter and milk. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet ; we went for walks over the fields and saw wild rabbits and deer. We visited Penshurst Place, where "Wolf Hall" was filmed and also visited the nearby village of Mayfield, where many buildings date from the 16th Century and there is a windmill nearby.
Highly recommended as a place to wind down in beautiful countryside.
This little Oast house could not be more perfect, the house is immaculate in a charming location, our host Daphne was lovely and left us food essentials such as eggs, bread, fruit, coffee etc which we just didn't expect. We would highly recommend here if your looking for a quite stay off the beaten track in a stunning part of East Sussex
