This hotel staff here are exceptionally warm friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. We were travelling with two other families all with young children, ourselves with young ones and teenagers 5 of our own and all families agreed that the hotel provided everything you needed and more as the atmosphere was so lovely, altogether making our three night stay very relaxed and happy. Gabrielle on reception is an absolute star but all the staff are exceptional and not at all what you expect from a budget hotel.

We spent 4 days here as it an easy drive to nearby Falmer. It was our 1st stay at a Premier Inn.

The staff are really friendly & pleasant. The rooms are lovely (although it was weird not having draws to put things away in you had to have everything on display on shelfs). The rooms were really clean, bed was comfy - plenty of pillows supplied & there was a large t.v as well.

The only downside for us was the lack of air con, as it was unbearably hot in the room. Fans are placed in the room but they are very noisy, so if the heat doesn't keep you awake the fans will. The window opens only a minimal amount so you really don't benefit from it. I just hate to think what it would have been like if we were actually having a summer & it were hot outside.

Brewers Fayre restaurant onsite was pretty good. The meal deal menu if pretty limited if your staying more than 1 night, but portions are excellent - you won't go hungry. On the down side if you hope to get the carvery on the sunday it may not happen. When we went to dinner (table reserved for 7pm) they had already run out of the meat. So that was really disappointing as we'd cancelled a meal deal in order to get the carvery & ended up with neither.

Overall though a cheaper alternative to Brighton, ample parking, & having a huge sainsburys & petrol station on site is a great bonus & very handy.

Room Tip: I would recommend asking for a room at the back to avoid noise from the restaurant.

The room was clean and in good order. We arrived at 21.30 and was met by a pleasant receptionist. The bathroom was spotless and there was spare pillows and towels a plenty.

The bed was firm which was not our normal type so we didn't get a good nights sleep but that was not premier inns fault
Would we sleep there again yes but would ask for a duvet to put on the mattress

Great budget hotel ideal for a stop over prior to catching the ferry to France. Clean, good sized rooms, friendly staff. But don't recommend the restaurant next door for anything other than breakfast.
