Stayed here as it was close to ferry port, we had to catch an early ferry. The room was very hot and the temperature control did not have aircon, only heating. There were 2 fans in the room, both of which were quite noisy but we had to use them in order to breathe, the room was so hot. Bed quite comfy, bathroom OK though not brilliantly clean. The worst part was the pub next door where we ate. Very noisy and poor choice of menu for me, as someone who is gluten free. I ended up with the usual salad as everything else was breaded/pastried. As I neared the end of my food, I noticed a rather large bug (dead) sitting in a fold of a lettuce leaf. To the staff's credit, they reported it to the kitchen and I was not charged for the dish. Left me feeling a bit queasy as I may have missed seeing other little critters!

Stayed here for two nights this weekend room was nice and clean but didn't get much sleep...doors slamming at all hours, the noisiest and most uncomfortable bed and the room was sooo hot despite having two fans unbearable heat, mentioned this on leaving and was told yes this is a problem at this hotel, no real apology don't think I'd stay here again!!

Used this as a base as meeting family in the Brighton area. It was cheaper to stay in Newhaven than Brighton. The hotel is not close to any shops or restaurants, but was perfect for our needs.

The rooms were very clean and tidy and the restaurant good....Especially the breakfast!

hotel staff were all lovely & professional, stay was ok, but the room was wayyy too hot, window didn't open all the way (for security) and no air con - just a (noisy) desk fan in the room. noise from road and car park if window was open to try to cool it down so woken up throughout the night by cars! mentioned it to reception and they kindly refunded 1/2 our stay - which we didn't really expect - was nice of them - if i came here again would avoid in summer and would ask for a non south-facing room and bring my own air conditioning unit hah!

Very friendly and helpfull staff, both at the hotel and restaurant. good value for money. Would stay again, and recommend this hotel to others. If you are traveling to or from the ferry port, this is an ideal place to stay. Also close to petrol and a large supermarket for supplies.

We stayed 2 nights having taken the ferry from Dieppe and this is an ideal location not only for the ferry but for visiting the resorts and towns along the south coast.
We received the warmest welcome after a long day travelling from Max the receptionist who has been mentioned in an earlier review.
What a star and a great ambassador for the brand- she was a mine of information about the surrounding area and it's so great to see a friendly face when you are tired.
As usual with Premier Inns, our room was very comfortable and even though we overlooked the front of the hotel and the restaurant, we didn't hear any noise and we were there Friday and Saturday nights, even with the window open.
There was a fan in our room which was very welcome.
There were hard and soft pillows and the bed was so comfortable.
The TV was huge with a great choice of channels.
The bathroom was well equipped with good quality shower and hand gels, plenty of towels, and spotless.
The lay out of the room is thoughtful with a decent hairdryer in the right position for the mirror and plug sockets by the bed to charge the phone.
Lighting was varied, bright when I needed it.
The reception has a rack of brochures for local places of interest but also a small comfy area for children's book which is a lovely touch.
Lots of parking and very close to Sainsburys and the town.
It was so easy to visit Lewes and Eastbourne and Beachy Head from this hotel.
It's minutes to the town of Newhaven itself too.
If I was on the south coast I would definitely stay here again.
