Our menu embraces tastes from mild to spicy, creamy to the piquant, catering for all taste buds and with your health in mind. Whatever your choice, our menu offers the most delicious and fresh ingredients. To compliment your meal you can also make a selection from our comprehensive list of quality wines, we offer characteristics and vintage to suit all palates which have been imported from both new and old-world wine producing regions. In the culinary world our Chef Sarwar Chowdhury sees cooking as an art. Through his delicately beautiful vibrant and inventive work he has already received tributes from many national and international food critics, obtaining this widespread reputation from five star restaurants in Dubai and the Gulf, later then he moved to Kuwait Parls Catering where he perfected the art of cooking! Moving back to Bangladesh his reputation raised to the zenith in 1997, where he was invited to dine and perform his skills on the culinary world as the principal chef to the Acme International Restaurant in Sylhet. And now Raipur brings you that same opportunity in tasting that touch of perfection in the world of cooking.

Having had takeaways from the previous establishment as "India Gate" decided to try out this refurbished venue and dine in, what an excellent choice.

From the outset the staff were excellent, combining professionalism with some great humour and general conversation, which added to the very pleasant surroundings of the restaurant making it very comfortable and welcoming.

Menu was great with a good selection, especially as their speciality dishes are quite different to that found elsewhere making choice quite difficult as it all sounded good.

The food was devine, although my wife had a "traditional" Korai and has had better but if you look at the menu the "traditionals" seem to be there to please those not willing to try something new, so I definately recommend trying their specialities.

Service was efficient, extra care taken to ensure we were OK, that the food was to our satisfaction and that we had enough drinks etc.

Overall, a fantastic meal in a great environment with excellent service and best of all relatively inexpensive, well worth the money.

Not sure whether I should be writing this review as I might not be able to get a table next time!!!

Well recommended and will be going back, if I can get a table.

This restaurant has recently undergone a complete refurbishment from it's previous, rather shabby incarnation.

Being local, and Indian food enthusiasts, we gave it a try. Well, I can honestly say that this was the best Indian food I have ever tasted (Including in India!).

Four of us ate different dishes, and each of us had a similar experience.

The chief's specials are indeed very special, and I would advise that you start with them. The chicken stuffed with lamb was especially good.

Overall, the food had a freshness and lightness to it that is often missing.

The service was good, and the cost o a meal for four adults including two bottles of wine was £74.
