My husband stayed here for 2 nights while he was working in the area. When he got back to the room about 8.00pm he was surprised that they hadnt make the beds or cleaned the room or replenished the coffee and milk. He told them the room hadnt been cleaned or beds made etc, they said they had forgot to do it and offered to clean it then but my husband said it didnt matter as he would be going to bed shortly, but they replenished the coffee and milk. On his second morning the tables were not set for breakfast, so had to ask for knives and forks. Although the bathroom was nice it wasnt attached to the room but it was for his sole use, the shower was the old type where you have to attach the tubes on to the taps. The breakfast and the eveing meals were very good

This establishment was warm and welcoming but unfortunately let down by the rather basic menu although it is fair to say that the prices were commensurate with this. If you want steak, fish, lambs liver or sausages with mash or chips then that's fine but if you wish for a more upmarket meal this is not the place for you. The decor is really rather old-fashioned too but I gather this Inn wishes to give the ambience of a pub rather than a restaurant. My husband said the Harveys was first class!

Myself and three friends were fortunate to stay for one night with breakfast at 'the best beech inn'. We arrived to a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms which were both clean and spacious. We were given the room with the four poster bed and they even put in an extra mattress so that the three girlies could stay together - nice touch! We then had supper - which was very good home cooking (recommend the steak) before we went out for the evening. They even managed to book a taxi for us as we were off to the Will Young concert in Bedgeley Pineham - 10 miles away. The following morning after having enjoyed a lovely full english breakfast I discovered that I had lost my car keys aaaahh. After mentioning this to the staff they immediately contacted the taxi firm to see whether they had been left in the taxi and also found the number of the forrestry commision who had held the concert the night before. The keys were not found in the taxis but yes they were found in the field so we were able to get ourselves home. Thank you to everyone at The Best Beech Inn for a fab stay and for going the extra mile - good food, good time and nice people.

Room Tip: when booking do express your wish if you woud like en suite as some of the rooms have a bathroom out...

I had the pleasure of staying here for four nights.

That was good because there is a real home from home feeling and the menu is a particularly nice surprise.

Tracy and Nathan run a extremely friendly and well run establishment.

I would most certainly stay here again.

The current owners have only been running this place for 3 months, I greatly enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.I originaly made my booking and due to cicumstances beyond my control could not stay on the night i booked. I contacted them and spoke to Nathan who is one of the owners and explained the situation and he allowed me to use this booking for another night within the next 2 weeks.I was extremely greatful for this

Set in a glorious part of the Sussex Weald the Best Beach Inn was an excellent choice for an overnight stay for a nearby family event. The room and bathroom though not large were well equipped and very clean. The breakfast was excellent - freshly cooked using local produce. Evening meals are available son, though not all nights, so phone ahead to check. As they were not serving dinner that night they recommended a pub restaurant less than a mile away which was also very good. Though a bit higher than might be expected elsewhere the price was reasonable in relation to those in the area and in nearby Tunbridge Wells.

We are from Sussex and now live in London so know the county quite well. This old pub is not very nice and it s horrid owners were quite rude to my children when we visited. It is not child friendly. Rooms and toilets were dirty. Smoking everywhere ! We thought this was not allowed now ? I would not go back if it was even cheaper. Best bit was the worm in my sandwich.

Room Tip: Room at the side smells of the owners smoking and you can see them doing it too
