We have frequently stayed in this hotel over the last couple of years, usually 4-5 times a year and consistently receive an excellent service, warm welcome and a great value for money. As a family, the play area in the restaurant has been invaluable and it's a location to get out and about in the local area. Shall be coming back again soon

We stayed for two nights while attending a wedding, and the accommodation and service were, for the price, fantastic. The room was quiet, large and spotless, and the staff friendly. Only minor quibble was that the TV was a little hard to work, but fine once we got the hang of it. Would happily stay there again.

We only stayed at this hotel for one night but as with other Premier Inns that we have stayed at the hotel provided excellent value for money. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The restaurant/bar adjacent to the hotel had an outside play area for children.

We had booked a package which included a breakfast and dinner and this did provide really good value for money although the inclusive dinner menu was a bit limited especially for vegetarians.

The room, bathroom and toilet were all clean and fresh. There was good storage space in the room and bathroon which were both of a good size. We were on a road facing room but had no problem with traffic noise but a weekday stay may be different. The hotel itself was quiet. There was no obvious disabled access to the upper floor rooms so it might be worth checking before you book.

The hotel is easy to get to and well located for exploring Braintree and the surrounding areas of Essex but you do really need a car to stay here.

In most respects the hotel and its staff were very good - the only problem was that the rooms were not air-conditioned. Rooms were provided with stand-alone desk fans. When we stayed it was not a particularly warm night outside but the room was quite warm all night - this could be a problem on hot summer nights.

Room Tip: If possible ask for a room facing away from the main road.

Stayed here for one night for a wedding at the Fenns Estate and the rooms were clean and modern and much better than I expected as I have never stayed in a Premier Inn before so was unsure of the quality. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a few drinks at the restaurant attached to the Premier Inn and again the staff were very friendly and the service at both places was very good. I was disappointed in the quality of the premier breakfast, the sausage wasn't of a good quality and the bread and crumpets had previously been frozen as they were icy in the middle. White bread and crumpets aren't exactly expensive items and to find that they weren't fresh was very disappointing. I would stay at the Premier Inn again but would avoid the breakfast and eat elsewhere - the restaurant is what you would expect similar to service station quality.

We have stayed here many times, always try to stay here when my husband's sport brings us to the area. The rooms are clean and the beds are really comfortable, the staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful. Having the bar and restaurant next door is very convenient.

This was our third three-day stay in the past five years. There is always a warm welcome here, speedy check-in, & plenty of information about places to visit in the area. We arrived at the start of a mini-heatwave but our room (57) felt comfortable & we were pleased to see a fan for use if necessary. Although our room was at the front of the building overlooking the carpark and main road, it was not at all noisy. The staff were all efficient and courteous at all times.

We had the misfortune to break a tumbler in the bathroom. On reporting the accident to the gentleman at reception, a replacement was provided and the floor swept for broken glass.

The eatery next door has a varied menu. The food was reasonably priced, of good quality and the service speedy. There is ample parking here.

This Premier Travel Inn is conveniently situated for breaks in all parts of Essex and Suffolk and ideal for business trips as well. Thoroughly recommended.

Spent a night here to break up a larger journey. Check in was slower than I would have liked with courteous and friendly staff. Our room was simple, very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was next door in a theme pub which catered very well for children, there was even a climbing frame to keep the little ones entertained. Whilst I would normally avoid budget hotels I have to say I was very impressed by the value for money. Don't expect molten brown toiletries, don't expect someone to carry your bags for you and don't expect organic eggs for breakfast. Do expect a good size room at a very reasonable price in a child friendly environment.
