“Premier inn Braintree Essex attached to the mulberry tree”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

We stayed at this premier inn on fri, sat, sun 23/24/25 may 2014. We Always stay at premier inns because of the high quality rooms etc. this one though was different, the staff were absolutely brilliant we were treated as if we were in a 5 star posh hotel and we found that Chris (we presume who was the. Manager) was very attentive and polite just like all the staff in the premier inn and the. Attached mulberry tree.
We always stay at premier inns because of the high quality rooms and polite staff, but here they went the extra step to make our stay unbelievable. All we can say is a big thank you and keep up the hard and good work

Room Tip: No tips they are all good

We stayed here bank holiday Monday as we were travelling to my sons wedding at a nearby venue.
We arrived miles too early for the 2.00 check in but were told our room was ready and we could check in, Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
The large pub/restaurant next door was ideal for everyone in our party to meet up and have something to eat while the children were occupied with the play area.
After a very comfortable nights sleep, the breakfast was well cooked, hearty and staff were very welcoming.
All in all a very pleasant experience

A lovely room, confy bed and the staff had guaged that it was to be warm, so had put in a fan and closed the curtains to make it as comfortable as possible.

Lovely shower, great big TV (perfect for the football!) and a very handy mirror with incorporated lights to help put on my makeup before we went of to the wedding we were attending.

Cannot fault a thing!

Stayed in a family room (two adults, two children: 5 & 6) for one night whilst visiting Colchester Zoo. Very friendly and helpful staff in the reception and restaurant, both for evening meal and breakfast. The room was modern, clean and unlike some budget hotels did not feel like a box with a flimsy pre-fabricated bathroom dropped in - well designed and solid bathroom & room furniture. Beds were very comfortable, shower was excellent, good TV. We didn't use the Wi-fi, but there was 1/2hr free and then a very reasonable charge. Our room was ground floor next to the carpark (and busy dual carriageway/roundabout), but with the window shut there was little outdoor noise heard.
The Restaurant served good food and beer (Bitter even!) in the evening (there was a fixed price buffet but we preferred the menu). Our children LOVED the indoor soft-play while waiting for dinner to arrive, which actually meant we could chat more! Breakfast was excellent - a great selection of cereals, fruit, toast, usual cooked stuff, juices, good coffee etc
This was our first time at a premier Inn and I'd certainly use this one again if we need to stay in the area, and I'd also look into other Premier Inns.

Staying at this Premier Inn meant we could stop until the end at the wedding we were attending. The Inn was only 10mins drive and only 5mins to check in.This was my first visit to a Premier Inn and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the cleanliness. I had a good nights sleep and went for breakfast where my husband had the full English which kept him going most of the day.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always received very good service from a fantastic team.

The only problem can be getting onto the main road in the mornings as it is situated right on a very busy roundabout

A simple, no hassle, no pressure stay with a quiet room on the first floor not facing the car park. Exceptionally good value for money with everything provided necessary for an overnight stay. If this stay is indicative of all Premier Inn hotels then i would have no problem recommending the hotel brand wholeheartedly.
