Visited this restaurant recently on a week night and three couples were dining. The restaurant has real character and the chef/owner is very nice and welcoming. It is no wonder there were not more diners. It is very expensive for an italian/sardinian restaurant. Starters from £7.50 and a plate of spaghetti with a tomato and basil sauce £10. Wines also exorbitant. It prices were more reasonable I would certainly eat there more often. But the bill for two for three courses and a bottle of wine was £80.
This should be an affordable restaurant to eat in regularly. It is well off the beaten track and needs to attract locals. I don't expect three courses for £12 but come on chef you need more business. I think for what we had a bill for £50 would have been more acceptable for a midweek meal. I have rated atmosphere as poor because there were not enough diners.
Hope to visit again but not until prices reflect the area and italian food, which let's face it you can't get cheaper than a pasta dish.
