I long awaited return to this excellent pub for lunch. Good range of draught ales and lagers. The food is possibly a little above average pub price, but the quantity and quality easily make up for the difference. For a wet wednesday lunchtime the bar was pretty crowded. There is a good range of bar snacks available, my choice, ham egg and chips arrived quickly and was freshly cooked. Others in the party had sausage and onion baguettes, which looked very appetising. Will certainly return.
