Looks attractive from the outside and inside it's quite pretty but a straightforward "pub grub" decor etc .
Owned by M and B but they don't advertise the fact hopefully to keep it traditionally independent looking . The menu is simple ,nothing too complicated even tasty in places . Steaks ,salmon ,lamb shank etc . Usual puds .Food appeared to be prepared fresh and came quickly .
Our waitress was pretty miserable and didn't seem keen on helping me choose GF dishes ,other staff seemed better . No offer of water and no bread offered for other guests ,I therefore didn't even bother to ask for GF bread !
Decent if there is nothing else around
