This is a pub I tend to visit every now and then when visiting Brentwood. It's certainly improved over the years with the back area becoming pretty nice (if you can get a table from the selfish regulars! Always take the biggest table without fail, under the heaters out back, play sudoku and gossip from 5pm so you can't get a look in!)
Drinks are standard prices and food is ok for pub grub.
Staff are friendly enough when not chatting to each other behind the bar and you catch their eye, but polite none the less. It's obvious though that attention is heaped on those said regulars which can be awfully annoying, especially as I've been visiting on and off for 10 years!
Always a laugh but on a Saturday night it can be unbearably busy, so much so that there is often no room to even stand, but that just shows the pubs popularity.
