Stayed here as attending wedding at Boreham House otherwise a bit far out. However check in was easy and staff very helpful.
Ate breakfast and dinner at the Grange. .. excellent and staff here very friendly.
Room was lovely and clean with everything you need.
My first stay at a premier inn but would definitely use them again

All in all was a very good visit, apart from on Sunday morning we were rudely awaken by other guests, mainly children & a few adults running up and down the corridor banging on rooms at 7am till 8am checking whether all there party were up or not. With no consideration to other guests .
Other than that we had a very relaxing wkend. Didn't eat at the restaurant as family had booked meal at the nearby pub the Six Bells which I must say we had a lovely meal.

I stayed here for a night with a friend. We get there and the young man at reception was very nice, helpful and checked us in ok. We get to our room and get ready for a night out, just before leaving our room we go to use the toilet and there is wee in there which was defiantly none of ours!. After finding this we go to reception and let the night shift lady no what we have found, she did not apologise and just said she would have a word with house keeping, but had a 'I don't care' attitude!

Before we went out we requested towels for our room as there was only one, and when we got back there was no receptionist at the desk and as we went to our room we saw the receptionist in the hallway. She then brought the towels to our room at 4am!

During the night the room was so freezing that we tried to contact reception and could get no answer as we wanted to request a extra blanket.

The next morning we spoke to the manager at reception regarding the wee in the toilet and she didn't believe us and made out as if we was lying and also said 'why didn't u request to change rooms' we felt so embarrassed because her attitude and customer service was very poor! I left very unhappy and would not return! Considering this was my first visit to the area, she has not left a good example of the manager! Great size room and bed but ruined by the staff!

I stayed here for 2 nights and had no problems at all. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was a nice size and very clean, the bed was huge and I slept well on both nights.

I ate in the pub / restaurant next door on both evenings, good selection on the menu albeit posh pub food and the service was great, all staff very attentive and no waiting around. My only very small complaint was too much sauce served on a starter I chose, but this wouldn't put me off eating there again. Breakfast served in the same place and there was a very good choice and service was once again very efficient.

The only thing is the hotel is quite remote and a taxi ride away from Chelmsford centre, there is literally just the hotel and pub next door, therefore if you do want to get out and about a car is essential as taxi's can cost in excess off £10 to get into town. However I believe that there is another hotel / restaurant called The Lion a short walk away which was also recommended so another place to eat if you were staying over for a few nights and you needed a change of scenery.

Arrived on a sunny afternoon - quick and easy check in, friendly staff. The room was very nice, very comfortable and clean. The bed was massive! I had two very good nights sleep. Next door there is a chef and brewer - Really good pub food, reasonably priced. Initially the service was slow but got better as the evening wore on. Breakfast is quite pricey, though its each as much as you like. Quite frustrating though that 2 sausages and an egg costs the same as, e.g 5 sausages, 5 bacon, 6 eggs, 4 hash brown, bean and mushrooms! Breakfast staff were great. All in all a great place to stay, located just off the main road. #Beware# Sunday morning gets busy with traffic as there is a massive car boot sale almost opposite

Room Tip: Room 7 - very quiet

The hotel is easy to find & immediately off the A12 at Boreham, near Chelmsford. It is adjacent to a pub/restaurant. It is well up to the usual Premier Inn standard. Check-in was quick and friendly and our pre-booked preferences of 2nd floor room away from stairs , lifts, and ice machines had all been met. The hotel has a quiet section with extra doors & notices highlighing this. The room was large, clean, with sufficient chairs, big bed, airconditioning and no noise due to triple glazing on windows. View over fields to the nearby A12. Happy to stay here in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 2nd floor in the Quiet section.

I spent one night, here, ahead of business in Maldon the next day. The hotel is well located for the A12, although I approached on a different route. Indeed, the A12 could be seen, but not heard, from my room.

Check-in was efficient and friendly, although, being a charity week, the reception area looked somewhat cluttered with many notices stuck to the desk. All in a good cause, no doubt, but it created a poor first impression.

The room was the usual Premier Inn fare: comfortable, clean, spacious, and well equipped. I had problems getting the air con to blow cold air, but this was very quickly rectified when I asked at the desk - it appears that they can be centrally set either to heat or cool, but this has to be over-ridden from Reception.

A very comfortable, quiet night, and an evening meal and breakfast at the adjoining pub and restaurant.

I would be more than happy to stay here, again.
