Valley Farm Holiday Park - Park Resorts
Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

We stayed at valley farm from the 24-26 of may we paid a lot of money to stay in a platinum lodge on arrival the decking was filthy as we got into the lodge the cream carpet was filthy with black stains everywhere, the pull out sofa bed was broken, there was hair in the shower, the sofas were ripped and dirty when are park resorts going to sort the cleaning and maintenance department out as nobody seems to be bothered even when you make a complaint you get the same old story saying sorry and we will talk to the people in question but nothing is ever done all they care about is takeing your money which we have to work hard for.

Once again brilliant weekend had a platinium caravan it was lovely and warm even though it was raining and windy outside.unpacked and got ready to go for a swim checked brochure and noted swim times for friday 2pm till 4.45pm it was now 3.30pm we got ready for an hour swim and then 15minutes to relax in sauna would do us lovely, arrived at pool and life guard said come for a swim you have got 15 minutes ! what i said but the brochure says close at 4.45pm not 4pm ?oh he said those times are for the summer childrens holiday and peak times! and pointed to to the notice on the swimming pool door off peak times , well how come we wasnt told when we arrived we went to see the management and he said thats because the brochures were printed early !and couldnt be changed but saturday and sunday our still peak times so they are correct to the brochure,so my friends take note when you arrive and if you want to swim check swimming pool door first ! oh and by the way sauna wasnt on ,we had to ask them to put it on saturday and sunday and so had a swim to let it warm up,apart from that first disappointment great weekend and a great time had by all.thank you to a great team not so sure i can thank the management of park resorts who printed brochures though, and staff on desk for not pointing out incorrect swim times for monday to friday Happy Holidays

My grandma, granddad and I went to valley farm in the Easter holidays for 4 days. The staff were very kind and helpful. The entertainment was very good for children and even the adults too, also the entertainment staff were fun and friendly! Moving onto our caravan now! It was a gold plus caravan and was very clean and tidy but the beds were very uncomfortable and it was hard to get to sleep. The swimming pool was small but nice and clean. The life guards were very nice but if a child wants to go swimming by their self they need to take a swimming test to swim two lengths. I don't like saying negative things but the food on the first night was horrible and very overpriced. The playground was ok but there was litter blowing everywhere and one part of the park looked derelict! It was very quiet during the day on the complex but very crowded at night. I would still go here again though!

This is only our second caravan break, the 1st being in France. We booked this break on a cheap deal but we did upgrade.

Caravan 816 a bit tatty. 3 cupboard doors missing and a hole in the side of one cupboard. Carpet very stained. Beds clean but no mattress cover is not good.

Nice large TV which was nice as we dont like club house entetaiment. Adequate shower.

Had fish and chips the first night and I can honestly say it was the WORST we have ever had. We couldn't say it was vile because it was COMPLETELY TASTELESS and the chips were disgusting it was if they had been cooked hours previously then warmed in a microwave very dry and dehydrated. We thought this may have been a one off so went for a evening meal. Quite expensive for crap food. This is a shame as good food at reasonable prices is not that difficult to do.

We would do a caravan break again but I will upgrade again to the next level just to see how different they are as we did upgrade one level on this one but not overly impressed, but we would not waste our hard earned money in the food places ever again.

We have just come back from week away with Lexi our Westie dog, caravan was very good. We think originally a silver plus in RS9, but the years have made it a bit tired in décor and upholstery, which is why now a bronze. But saying that very comfy and cosy. We were by the brook and bridge and were welcomed by the ducks every morning. We think that Sonny, Char, (not sure if spelling right .. Sorry!!) and Jasmine, were brill entertainers, we only had a couple of our grand children visit for a couple of days, so were on just an adult week this time. We saw how hard they worked both for the kids and adults alike. Char (once again spelling!!!! sorry to her..) has a great singing voice and will go far. So please pass on these comments to all of them, as they deserve all the praise they get.
Thanks, and we would certainly use Valley Farm resorts again.
