Stay was comfortable and very good location. All services were good except the breakfast as usual in most hotels options very bland/limited for vegetarians. The facilities were neat and clean and hotel staff very prompt to provide good service. vegetarian cooked food missing.

Second stay at this hotel right on the Seafront at Southend and close to the town centre, stayed on a Saturday night and hotel was suprisingly busy, asked for a quiet room with a seaview, was told that the seaview was an extra £20, I dont know if the rooms are any nicer, but I thought it was a bit steep for a view of the Thames Estuary, so I declined. Was given room 507, quiet and massive, clean with a huge comfortable bed, really pleased given that I had paid a riduculously low price which included breakfast. Nice big shower in the bathroom which could do with a bit of a spring clean and the tile grouting/ sealant replaced this looked a bit dirty.
Look on hotel website for best deals and offers.
The cheapness of the room was balanced by the overpriced dinner we had in the hotel restaurant which was effectively posh burger and chips, the service was friendly but slow.
Breakfast on the other hand was really good, lots of choice and brisk service.
Parked our car opposite the hotel where the hotel has a deal, £5 overnioght from 5pm to 9am,just get your ticket authorised before you leave.
fast efficient check in and out. Will definitely stay again for the right price.

Room Tip: room 507 is quiet and huge

Stayed here over night on new years eve with my girlfriend. Was exactly what we wanted. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Staff were very polite and efficient. This hotel was spot on for value and the location was superb. Parking just across the road from the hotel and was reasonably priced for the night. All in all a good stay. Thank you park inn.

Before booking this Hotel I looked at reviews on line and very nearly decided to stay elsewhere.
But booked for the weekend and found the Hotel very clean, the Reception staff friendly and
very helpful. The rooms were excellent, for size, beautifully prepared and well furnished. The evening meals were excellent, the breakfast plentiful, varied and with attentive staff. I cannot find anything about this hotel to complain about, the only thing I can add is the people who gave bad reviews must either have been staying elsewhere or were feeling "grumpy". I will have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends or returning myself for a further stay. Excellent.

Room Tip: Though my room faced the Multi storage car park, I had no noise disturbance and suggest rooms in the...

I was visiting family in Southend on Boxing Day and wanted somewhere to stay so I could drink and not have to drive home. The Park was perfect. Very clean and spacious room, friendly check in, free wifi. I was also offered a reduced rate in the car park opposite but declined as I left my car with family. Had a great sleep in the comfy bed. My only gripe was that the double bed was two singles pushed together but this was minor as they were comfy. Pillows of good quality also. I would have liked a minibar. I would gladly return to this hotel due to the cleanliness and the location.

Apart from the central location of this Hotel, there really wasn't any other positives.
My feedback is as follows:
On arrival I noticed the reception carpet was of good quality but hadn't been cleaned and therefore looked shabby. The music was a little too loud which made it difficult to communicate with the reception staff. A nearby table had a display of items which was meant to convey they took bookings for weddings. However it just looked cheap and tacky.
There was beautiful wooden flooring but as per the reception carpet it hadn't been maintained and was badly scratched. The hallways to the hotel rooms were dimly lit and had odd pictures on display (what do policemen have to do with Southend?, better to have local pictures maybe the famous pier?)
The room. Walls were all scuffed with dirty marks and could have benefitted from a repaint, the carpet certainly hadn't been hoovered as I found hair clips and other debris. The cover at the foot of the bed was disgusting, so much so I dumped it in the corner. The armchair was of really poor quality and was worn and shabby.
I was hoping the breakfast the next morning would be better. It wasn't. It was help yourself style and the food was of low quality. Putting cheap jam into a fancy large jar doesn't make it any tastier.
The staff in the dining room also lacked any basic customer service skills. I asked was tea selection was available only to be told "oh, we only have tetley, no flavoured no". On leaving the hotel I noticed a poster in the lift which stated they had a large range of teas available. Training issue or someone who didn't care?
The other staff in the dining room kept approaching us to remove our plates, at one point her hand was on the plate before I had even ad the chance to say "no I am not finished".
On leaving the hotel we asked for a receipt and was told the paper had run out on the till or it was broken, so this again delayed us and was another example of poor service.
The Hotel could be lovely, but clearly hasn't been maintained or had any kind of thought from a customer viewpoint.

stayed here for one night on business. Arrived early and was allowed to leave my bags. Receptionist really helpful in explaining how we get to the car park opposite via the Southend one way system. Rooms spacious and comfortable and a good temperature once i worked out where the air con control was. Shower only and it did leak onto the floor in the corner of the bathroom and some of the grouting was a bit black. Bed very comfy. Breakfast good and again staff really welcoming and helpful. Hotel is well situated for sea front and the main town and it did not find it noisy at all, apart from the howling wind outside. Did not try room service or gym so cannot comment. On the basis of this visit would be happy to stay here again.
