We visited in May 2014 as a 20+ lunch party. The place is just great and the one waitress who took our drinks order was lovely and did her best. We arrived at 12.45 and we didnt get our first course for over an hour - we had an array of ages with us ranging from 50's up to 90's and that was a very long time for some of them to wait. We had to ask for some bread just to keep some of our party from fading. The first course was delicious although it took some time for it to arrive and to be served. Many of our party ordered the Sunday lunch and the Beef was really tough. The plate looked delicious and had lots of lovely veg's on the plate - a lot of beef was left.
Although everyone was lovely and the price was reasonable in the scheme of things as an overall lunch experience it was a little disappointing. We didnt leave until nearly 4pm. I would suggest that they cant really cope with large numbers for lunch. Tea looked delicious and maybe that is what we should have done.
