Sad to say this restaurant was a real let down- my partner and I love Thai food and comparable to other Thai restaurants we have tried (with the best being in Leigh), this was awful. We went for the buffet and the restaurant was empty and now I see why. We tried a few dishes but they were awful and didn't seem to have any authentic Thai taste at all. The curry sadly tasted cheap, bland and watery. The only positive was that the waitress was very nice but that's about it. Would not recommend.

I have eaten thai food in many different restaurants and this was without a doubt the worst. I read the reviews and thought, OK everyone seems to be raving about this place and there was one bad review. I assumed it was some disgruntled competitor, there is usually one. However, sadly was about the sum of it. Deep friend heavy battered bits of vegetables and great spring rolls and a chicken wing?!? They got the red curry right but lets be honest, even I can't get a red curry wrong with the right pastes! The rest of it was just pappy grey tasteless rubbish that left a very unpleasant taste in the mouth. As my better half says, if you don't try it you don't know if its any good. Well she is right, it was rubbish and we won't be going back! If you like an anglo chino attempt at thai then go for it, if its real thai food you want, try somewhere else!

This is my favourite restaurant in Essex...

Great Thai food cooked to order just how you like it all served with a friendly smile

The chef is a real star and spends time chatting with her customers

Try the buffet menu fab value for money all you can eat for 14.99

Try but don't tell too many people about our secret!

Great atmosphere! The food is outstanding, especially their Thai Green Curry. The buffet is excellent value for money, and the staff are extemely polite and very welcoming. We have family from Malaysia and near Thailand who said this was excellent Thai food, and that when they come to visist agai. That we must go and eat there again. This is quite simply the best restaurant in Southend, in fact I would say Essex as a whole

We eat here regular, been doing so for a few years, the Buffet at £14.95 is incredible value (£11.95 for Sunday lunch)..cooked to order and not some sweaty buffet thats been sitting around all night, a decent menu, not the biggest of places but cosy and not in the best part of town, but the price and food make up for it also Noi the owner is very Genuine and very nice, the currys are great and the beef used is good quality and prawn dishes arrive with plenty of prawns in them also the 'Yum seafood' is excellent, Noodle soups and Tom Yum Goong is not the best i have had but its ok,(i have 23 years experiance of Thailand), the starter Thai experiance (as mentioned by someone else) is mainly deep fried selections, but best order individual starters and if you don't like one order another..!! ...can get busy on Saturday nights so book a table,. mid-week is quieter....you can order as much as you like...at a crazy price for Thai food..theres even duck with pancakes...!!! so check them out for yourselves...what have you got to loose, they also do a good lunchtime deal.
