A very pleasant priory. This is a nice place to visit and spent a little while pottering about one afternoon.

A remarkable and memorable presentation of the priory and gardens' history. A fascinating, peaceful place to spend a few hours. If you're in the area, go there! You will be glad you made the effort.

I believe that some 1and a half million has been spent on this historic building and what an excellent, interesting place for all ages many items for "tiny hands" to play and learn from and a very interesting war computer for locals to put family names in and seewhat comes up for those that served and died in the war.And most important every weekend during the summer months there are excellent free open air concerts each saturday and sunday from 3-5pm on the band stand just a 5 min wals form priory.

Set in a Park , given good weather you can have a lovely time wandering in the Park , grabbing a drink or snack and having a look around the old Priory. The parking is close by and their are plenty of other attractions in Southend to combine with this.
