A great venue with great views. Uninterrupted views of Thames estuary. Everything about the restaurant is good, even the prices. My only complaint is the lunch window is too small - restaurant only serves between noon and 2pm. That being the case, arrive early and treat yourself to estuary view dinning with a couple of friends. They also serve afternoon tea so make a day of it!

“First but not last visit”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

We went to see Derren Brown last night. We arrived 15 mins before the start and were unable to find a place in the carpark next door so drove back and parked 5 mins walk away outside local shops.
The theatre has fantastic views across the Estuary from the large windows in the bar/waiting area.
The seats all seem to have a good view of the stage. Our balcony seats were excellent. Not as cramped as some London theatres either.
The queues for the toilets were long as to be expected with a full house. I don't know if there are any more. There only seems to be one exit out too which wasn't too bad considering there were 1,800 people according to Derren Brown.
We will be returning as it's so much easier than all the hassle of going up to London -home in 15 mins
and cheaper!

“Theatre with a View”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Good Theatre - good shows. Poor worn out seating. The Bar and the Restaurant have good views across the river. The worst facet is the lack of adequate parking

“Great Venue”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

Love the cliffs pavilion and think it’s a great venue. Have been numerous times to see various acts. The venue offers great value for some really high profile acts such as Derren Brown that if you wanted to see the same show in a theatre in London then you would pay triple the price compared to what you pay here.

Got some really nice little family restaurants near it which are great for a pre-show meal. Would recommend Piccolo restaurant for an Italian. Only thing I would say is parking next to the theatre fills up quickly so if you want to park next to the theatre and not on the seafront with the long walk up the cliff then get there early!

“Lovely, local theatre”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

The Cliffs Pavilion has great views over the Thames Estuary and is quite an attractive building in its own right. We have seen a number of enjoyable shows here. Seating in the auditorium is comfortable and one can get a good view from almost all seats. We recently had our lunch here - good value and a pleasant view over the river.
The only slight problem is that the theatre seems very short of toilets both for ladies and gents and one can often find oneself in a 'queue for loo' for rather longer than you might anticipate.
The theatre does not have it's own car park but there is a moderately sized 'Pay & Display' car park virtually next door - however, I advise that you arrive early if you think the show you are about to see will be popular otherwise you may have to park much further afield.
