The chips were barely cooked, luke warm and tasted of absolutely nothing. I hate wasting food but I threw them in compost, do bother going there unless you enjoy sh*te food!

Thank Paul H

Stood there for 10 mins before walking out as the staff acted like we was invisible.
Would not reccomend this place. Very rude and slow. Plenty of other nice places around

The first time we tried Churchill's fish and chips was from Chelmsford and it was outstanding. My husband bought them into Broomfield hospital along with a can of shandy, we enjoyed every little bit of it.
However Witham is a different story. Why don't they cook the fish for a bit longer, the batter is pale and under cooked with a thick coating of raw batter underneath the top layer. Yuck. The chips are also very pale and seemed a bit undercooked. On the evidence tonight, nothing was crisp, tasty or enjoyable. Shame, we were so looking forward to this Friday night treat.
