“Loved our stay in the Cotswolds”

We loved our stay in this cosy cottage in Blockley - great location in the town, access to wonderful hiking trails right out the front door, no tour buses in the town so more quiet than some other Cotswolds villages, and easy to get to several other lovely villages like Stow, Chipping Camden and the Slaughters. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The double bedroom is a bit tight for space, as is the parking spot for larger SUVs, and the garden space is in front of the cottage - the wood fire, charcoal BBQ, cosy kitchen and very comfortable living room were great and more than made up for anything else.

“A warm and welcome Cotswold Village retreat”
Reviewed 5 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Jackdaw Cottage is beautifully presented and in immaculate condition but it keeps it's charm as an old style Cotswold cottage with oak worktops and a wood burning stove in the cosy sitting room. A welcoming bottle of wine, cookies and fresh milk in the fridge awaited us after a long journey. It is incredibly well equipped with everything you might need. With a two minute walk to a pub serving excellent food, what more could you ask for? Plenty of walking to be done from the village and an excellent village shop and café where the kind lady lent us her own umbrella for the weekend because we'd forgotten to bring one. This was a perfect get away for my husband, myself, our two teenagers and Maisie our Labrador. Thank you for providing us with everything we could need for a break away from home.

“Wonderful trip - didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed 13 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We stayed as two couples at Jackdaw Cottage for a Monday to Friday stay. The cottage is just gorgeous and has everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing and happy stay. We all completely fell in love with it and didn't want to leave. It was also so nice that our dogs were very welcome. Blockley is a lovely village and we had a great meal at the Great Western and some brilliant nearby walks using guides from in the cottage.. It is also in a brilliant location for visiting the rest of the Cotswolds and we also visited Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow, Bourton on the Water, Broadway, Burford and Chipping Campden. I would definitely recommend the walk up to Broadway Tower.
A great cottage in a brilliant locations that has everything you need for a very cosy and comfortable stay. The cottage is obviously very well loved and looked after by the owners and this is obvious by the high standards of the accommodation. Sat infront of the log fire with a glass of prosecco after a lovely day walking in the Cotswolds was an absolute slice of heaven!

“Charming character cottage in lovely Blockley”

We visited Jackdaw Cottage mid November for my 50th Birthday weekend celebration. It is an exceptionally well equipped cottage, very warm and comfortable. In fact, so warm as it was a relatively mild weekend, we couldn't light the log burner which was slightly disappointing but in no way a criticism!! We had a lovely weekend and it went too quickly. The cottage was easy to access and the owner had left the lights on and as we arrived quite late into the evening this was very much appreciated. We did not need to contact the owner as everything was perfect but all the details were provided if we needed to. The only thing we found a bit tricky was the car parking space - which was easy to get into but not so easy to get out of. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone thinking of going.

“Extremely charming cottage in an ideal village”

This was an extremely charming cottage in a wonderful village. The cottage kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The owners left 2 bottles of wine, cookies, tea, and milk. This was very much appreciated and a pleasant surprise. The beds were very comfortable and the linen very nice. There was also lovely garden to sit in.
The ONLY thing that was a little difficult was the shower. Adjusting the temperature was very difficult. It was either too hot or too cold. This is the only reason I did not give the cottage 5 stars. Everything else was great. Would highly recommend this cottage.

“Great stay - Great Place”

We wanted a true cottage and that's what we got. This is a nicely updated cottage in a great town. People said the town was a bit off the beaten path but we found it to be perfect. Great pub just a few houses up the street and a great little general store in town. Sitting in the front yard in the morning for coffee was a perfect way to start the day. The house is a bit smaller than it looks in the pictures, but it's totally comfortable. The one bathroom was a little hard with two growing teenagers but it's large and the shower was good. The kitchen is nicely setup and the internet and phone were very helpful since cell service is sketchy here. Parking in tight in the driveway but there is lots of room on the street. Owners are awesome and don't live too far away. Truly the cottage experience we wanted!
