“Amazing, amazing, amazing”
Reviewed 26 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We have just had the most amazing much needed break in this beautifully appointed, cosy, comfortable cottage which is located in a peaceful village in stunning surroundings.

The cottage had everything you could need, a very comfortable bed, beautiful linens and a brilliant shower with an easy to use log burner for those cosy evenings in. The welcome pack with delicious lemon cake was a lovely touch.

We were lucky enough to get a table at the cafe in the village on Fri and Sat nights where we were made very welcome by the owners and locals alike. The food was interesting, very tasty and well presented both nights and we both enjoys the local cider too.

We went to the Great Western pub for a drink the first night and to watch the rugby on the second afternoon and again we were made very welcome.... even though we are Welsh and supporting Wales in the rugby!!!

We would highly recommend the cottage, the village (avoid the Crown pub), the cafe, the Great Western Inn and the lovely area.

Thank you Victoria

Spent 4 nights at the lovely cottage over the New Year period. On arrival a Xmas tree to welcome us with cake as well just lovely. We explored around the area going on walks and really enjoyed it. We visited both pubs. The Crown we did New Years Eve in and it was absolutely brilliant. Great food, after dinner drinks around the fire, then a great laugh with some karaoke with even the staff getting involved. Really had a great night at that establishment and so close to the cottage. The village has a general store and cafe and also another hotel great western Arms which we also enjoyed visiting. Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage which has everything you need. Yes there is a flight of quite steep stairs up to bedroom and bathroom but we managed it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Post Christmas short break”

Super cosy, comfortable cottage that provided an excellent base for our post-Christmas short break. Lovely village with a choice of walks from the door with the bonus of a well-stocked community store and cafe to pick up supplies.

“Lovely Small Cottage in Beautiful Cotswold Village”
Reviewed 31 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

Lovely, but small cottage in a beautiful Cotswold Village. The owner left a basket of goodies at the start of the tenancy, including tea/coffee and a very nice bottle of wine.....a nice touch..!
Lovely wood burning stove in the living area and good heating system, which was needed since we we woke up to a snowy Boxing Day...
Good facilities, could do with a washing machine and perhaps a larger TV, but overall a great little cosy place to explore the Cotswolds.. we would go back again.

“Wonderful Break”
Reviewed 17 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

As others have said, Arlington Cottage is a really lovely comfortable cottage ideally located for visiting the better known Cotswold towns and villages. Perfect for couples, the cottage is well equipped with everything you could need and arguably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. Blockley itself is also lovely, especially in the heavy snow we experienced, with two good eating and drinking places as well as a cafe that also serves good food. The shop attached is ideal for anything you may need whilst there and surprisingly well priced. I bought two bottles of Boschendal wine for only £6.99 each, cheaper than Tesco!! Like others noted, there was tea, coffee, fresh milk and the delicious chocolate cake on arrival so you can start enjoying straight away. It being the end of the season the furniture covers could use a wash and probably the cottage generally a spruce up but that said I'd have no hesitation going back. Arlington Cottage really is a wonderful place to just rest and chill out with everything you could realistically need.

“Perfection”
Reviewed 27 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

What a fantastic cottage! Everything was just perfect. A lovely cosy cottage - wood burning stove very easy to light. Everything you would need in the kitchen. Fresh milk and chocolate cake on arrival was very welcome! Very comfortable king size bed. Location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. Great food and local ales at the bar/restuarant in the village - The Great Western Arms - also very friendly staff. Ebrington Arms in village of Ebrington only 3-4 miles away also excellent. Would definately stay here again.
