What a great idea - having taps nights Friday & Saturday, and creating a really different evening out. Certainly it's popular, judging by the crowd in last Saturday, so you're best advised to book a table in advance.

Service and attention from the waiting staff was generally good, food was excellent although I would agree with previous comment that price is a little heavy. Choices can not be faltered, with surely something on the menu to suit every taste.

Even on a midweek lunchtime it's busy with locals and not-so-locals. Food excellent if a little pricey for a pub, but value nonetheless. Beer well kept and very good. Menu changes frequently, as do the guest ales.

Popped here to meet a friend for lunch. Lovely little pub. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Will be returning in the future to test out the evening menu.

We come here a lot as it is close to my father's house and it allows dogs. In fact they love dogs and quite often will have dog biscuits!
The food is always excellent. Four of us today - 2 steaks, a fish pie and quiche which I had. It was honestly the nicest I have ever tasted.
Really interesting choice of beers too.
I live in Cardiff and yearn for a pub as good as this near me.

Hi Susiepig, thank you for taking your time to give us your review. We are delighted that you enjoy visiting us with your family and its always a pleasure to see you. We are a village pub surrounded by wonderful walks and countryside so we welcome our many customers who like to finish their dog walk with a meal and a pint or two and we always have a jar of biscuits for our four pawed friends! Our reviews are really important to us and we thank you for your 5 stars, it gives us all a great boost to continue offering a fantastic traditional pub for everyone to relax in! Cheers!

The Old Badger is famed for its first rate selection of (reasonably priced)Natural Ales. It is a mecca for natural ale lovers. That in itself is usually enough. Add onto that a tapas menu for Friday and Saturday nights just makes it better.
The staff are friendly and efficient, the menu is interesting and the food is good.
A word of warning the dishes are deceptively filling. Two tapas dishes will suffice the average, well proportioned diner with a healthy appetite. The addition of garlic bread or chips is not necessary.
The starter of nachos is one of the best I've eaten.
If you want high quality haute cuisine...don't come here, go to one of the more upmarket and costly hotels restaurants within a 10 mile radius.
If you want high quality, well cooked, reasonably priced, food in a welcoming environment, go to the Old Badger.
This is a pub located in a small village, its well patronized, got a nice ambiance... you get the impression that they are doing something right.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Old Badger Inn and congratulations on being our 100th reviewer!!
We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit here and we look forward to seeing you again....we change our menu for Tapas every 12weeks as we do our main menu, so there is always something different to try. Everyone in the team here gets a real buzz when we see we are getting it right for our customers and we look forward to serving lots more Tapas and plenty of different ales in Glorious Gloucestershire!! Cheers!
