We have been here a number of times and eaten off both the bar and restaurant menu. The food is tasty, homemade with quality ingredients. The service is friendly and efficient. A ncie range of ciders and beers.

Stopped in Berkeley for a business meeting and had lunch in the Berkeley
Arms
A very pleasant meal and drink served in the bar though we were offered a table in the dining room if we wanted it
Car parking is a bit tight but I managed to squeeze my car into the last space and my colleague parked on the road

Stopped here for lunch on a whim last Monday as we were impressed by the exterior of the building and the interior decor, We sat in a comfortable bar at the rear. The barman (Ron?) was extremely welcoming and gave top service throughout. We just had the fish finger sandwiches which were a little dry but still very tasty, and the quality of the beers was excellent. We will return for an overnight stay in the near future as the hotel has a lovely feel and it is not an area we had considered exploring before (even though I was born in Berkeley!).

We were in town for a family wedding had booked 2 rooms 3 months earlier and had email confirmation but when we arrived we were told they only had one room with no explanation.

Mind you I wasn't disappoint as on entering the hotel it was far past its sell by date and needs a massive refurbishment with tatty carpets and furniture, dirty paint work and disgusting toilets

We managed to get booked into The Best Western Gables hotel which was excellent with fantastic staff and a hotel of a much higher standard and slightly cheaper

Stopped here after visiting the castle. Charming little place, friendly staff. Good Sunday meal, thought the menu was a little limited. Nice home cooked food, well presented. Good choice of drinks. Overall good value for money. Would return if in the area again.
