My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights in September 2011. We had an amazing room over looking the river on the top floor (6th). The room was very spacious, clean, light, and relaxing.
The hotel seems very new, very modern and everything works :-) As a whole it's a wonderful place to be with very professional and friendly staff. We used the spa treatment areas which were very good (massage).
The breakfast buffet was excellent and it's hard to give anything but a near perfect review.
If I have make any comments for potential improvement it's the following:
i) Internet access should be free; however the 3G signal is very strong in most areas of the hotel so if you use you're own dongle or smart phone then you shouldn't have any issues.
ii) It would be nice if parking was included in the cost of the room
iii) We would have preferred to have a king sized bed as opposed to two beds that had been joined together to make a king sized bed. However, it was done in a way that was barely noticeable.
The Lowry is a great hotel in a great location in Manchester. We'll definitely be back. Go and enjoy....More
