My husband and I booked in on a two night break with dinner on the first night. We had just come from the Holiday Inn Lancaster where we had spent another two nights. To be fair this hotel was not the best for us having said that if you are there overnight then the room was clean and comfortable if compact. It was situated above the front door on the first floor and the ice machine was outside which can be a nuisance. The floorboards do creak especially those on the stairs!
Dinner on the first night was included but it didn't appear as if the restaurant was being used on our first night and we ate in the lounge area which was ok but it wasn't what we had been looking for and we didn't feel the menu was very varied for dinner. Having said that my husband enjoyed his meal of lamb. The buffet breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The parking and the wifi were free. We walked to the Quays in twenty mins and spent a lovely day there going back in the evening for a meal.
What did impress us was that we were acknowledged as card holders and offered snacks when we arrived , this is the first time this has been done and sometimes the small things mean a lot.More
