Wonderful Concert. Venue is clean and clutter free. Bar staff are great and drinks reasonable. BUT do not visit if 6 ft or over. I would love to meet the designer or more likely, accountant who decided the seat gaps. I assume the design came from Japan or some other vertically challenged Country. Seriously uncomfortable in all but an isle seat

Went today to watch the stick man. After reading reviews my partner booked tickets. Well what a disappointment it was. Spent £60 on family ticket to be sat at the back on the third floor. The seats are terrible for children they had to stand up on the chairs because they had a bar infront of there faces. Within 5 min I knew we’d made a big mistake. The budget must have cost the same amount as our ticket. I dread to think what the front row seaters paid for there tickets because I’d have gone home crying if it was any more than £60. The cast members (just 3 of them) were irritating and cringe. They even make a joke about the budget half way through like they know they’re ripping you off for there horrendous performance. Even my kids 9 and 4 wanted to leave after 20 minutes. The story itself was quite confusing for kids, and it really wasn’t that engaging apart from the bit where they chucked a ball for kids to catch. It was literally a man holding a stick. Even when the girl is supposed to be a dog she just comes out in a fluffy coat and converse, I’m mean seriously you could at least get costume to knock up an actual dog costume so it’s a bit more realistic. From the terrible swan puppet to the fish which I think were made out of tin foil it really was embarrassing, I wouldn’t even have the cheek to sell tickets for a fiver. This is the second dog crap show we’ve seen here at the lowery (the first being a dinosaur one which was bloody awful apart from at the end where the dinosaur walked round outside after the show). Lowry stop ripping people off, if you are going to put a show on at least put some money into the budget if you are going to charge these ridiculous prices. Anyone who thought it was a good show seriously needs there head testing!!

Just seen Swan Lake by Matthew Bourne amazing interpretation, very different but very very enjoyable the dancers are beautiful specimens of human beings. Young ,strong , powerful, talented group dancers. Worth going to see the music and set was amazing also the costumes, pour energy of the performance from start to finish. I would recommend this anytime .
