Alton station is at one end of the fabulous Watercress Line - a steam railway run by volunteers. A must-do for all the family.

Just another railway station in a dinghy location. Its only saving grace - a Waitrose supermarket nearby.

This is a quaint and historical station and it still has a steam railway line that travels to the heart of the east Hampshire country side where you can take your little ones to see Thomas and spend the day learning about him and his friends. This station is only an hour and a half from London Waterloo and is easily accessible from the top of the town.

My grandaughter loved riding on Thomas the Train and seeing the conductors then later going and seeing Father Christmas and getting a present.
