“A trip to the past”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Visited the Watercress line for a trip into nostalgia to Alton and return. Arlesford is an interesting village at one end of the line with plenty to see. The trip on the railway lasts about 4o mins and goes via the highest station in the south of England. Engine shed at Ropley would be worth a visit. All the staff on the railway and gave interesting information about the railway in the past.

“War on the line 2014”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

Went along in period costume. What a fun day. Really easy to get parked. We picked the busiest train unfortunately but that was just how popular the event was. The spitfire fly past at the end topped off a great day. Will be going back to their next event st Christmas

“A grand day out”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Well worth a visit whatever your age. I made a day's outing and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I travelled by bus from Winchester where I was staying and had no problems at all with any part of the travelling. The steam train journey was excellent; the staff were helpful and friendly and made sure you enjoyed your trip. It was busier than expected for a June weekday and they put an extra carriage on with very little delay to the journey. You can hop on and off as you wish but I chose to return to Alresford and go round the town and walk along the river. This proved to be a good choice, and I can recommend the tea shops here.

“Back in time”

The rail cars are in amazing shape, reminding me of the movie of A Hard Days Night with the Beatles. You can stop and tour around the villages and get back on.... We stopped for a tour at the brewery at Four Marks for a pint! It was nice to see pets allowed on board!

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

The train ran on time, clean and tidy, very quaint stations en route, plenty of room for a wheel chair (we had a disabled friend with us) a reasonably priced cafe, plenty of parking. All in all, a good day out.
