I see that this restaurant has had some less that good reviews in the past - but I gather it's under new management at the time I visited; all that i can say is that it's atmospheric, the food was good as was the service.
Lovely place in an attractive country setting; ample parking; appealing old thatched building; beamed interior (no idea if it's fake but creates a nice impression) pleasant greeting, shown to a rustic wooden table; not very busy (about 6pm on a Saturday) - really nice waitresses, friendly, attentive table service; ordered two well cooked steaks 'no blood, not pink' - and that's what we got; a side of Mediterranean vegetables was good value and perfectly cooked.
So good that I'd return - even though it's a long way from where I live.
