Last night we eat in the Seasons Resteraurant at this Hotel. The selection of food was limited but the food delivered to the table for each course was exceptional. My wife and I selected different dishes for each course and each was as amazing as the other. One of the best meals we have enjoyed in the UK in many years. Service was friendly but not familiar and overall a memorable experience - to be repeated!

Here we met friends for lunch the variety of food available was an experience in itself. Choosing was not easy but once done the food was excellent served by staff who not only knew their job well but enjoyed it which is always a good dining experience. Extensive wine list making selection of complimentary wines very easy. Wonderful lunch experience.

This review is based on our return visit following our visit earlier in the year when we were less than impressed with the service.

To the hotels credit they made immediate contact following our last visit/review and so we returned. The service on this occasion was great and extremely attentive. The food (as before) was superb and it was constantly topped up throughout the afternoon. Despite previous feedback one still doesn't really know how local the produce is and the only items labelled with any clue as to its provenance is the cheese. All the food is labelled so it wouldn't take much to add where it came from in the local area.

Our only gripe and a relatively small one is that were were sat by the windows (great) but beside us was a fire exit door which other customers were constantly using to access the outside seating area. This is fine if the door can be closed from the outside (it cant) and unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to have the door permanently open.

Overall a good visit and we will return based on this experience.

Visited the restaurant last weekend for their farmers market lunch. The service and ambience in the restaurant was lovely. the ticket price for the lunch doesn't come cheap at near enough £50 per head, but kids eat free which helps soften the blow a little. The fish selection was amazing, and everything I had from that table was utterly delicious, in fact, I wish that I had gone for seconds of that, rather than having the carvery, which although nice wasn't anything special. There is also a cheese table, which I felt was a bit lacking and looked a mess by the time we got there and others had carved up the cheese, perhaps they would benefit from someone manning the cheese and plating up for people. The dessert table looked amazing, lots of beautiful little things to choose from. They also had a kids sweetie table, with jars of cola bottles and other assorted sweets, popcorn and a lady who would whip up a pancake if desired............ kids didn't know where to start! Overall a good experience for a special lunch out, and perhaps good value for anyone who can eat and eat and eat!
