“Good display of Eastleigh History”
Reviewed 8 November 2012

Largely run now by a volunteer staff due to budget cuts. Encompasses a wealth of Eastleigh Railway history including a full size steam loco footplate. Many photos and genuine momentoes from past railway workers. Good array of souvenirs and historical items to purchase. Incorporates a small cofee shop. Regular changing displays are arranged on a particular theme which are of a good standard and obviously require a good deal of work by enthusiasts. Local craft items sometimes available to view and purchase.
Open Tuesday on - not Sunday. Free entry.

“a nice place”
Reviewed 8 September 2012

Eastleigh museum is a really nice place .Although it is small they pack a lot of history in a little space. and it's free. The drinks and snacks are very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. It's anice place to while away an hour or so and lose yourself in a bit of local history. My wife and i often visit.

“Easy to miss this!”
Reviewed 2 September 2012

I lived in Eastleigh for a while and hadn't spotted this place - it's got a pretty small entrance on a street with a lot of shops! Went there and was very surprised at how much they packed into such a small museum, was better than some larger ones I've been to see. Staff were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Worth a look if you're nearby.
