We booked this as a DBB package. There was live Jazz from the Dave Lewin Trio during the evening meal which was great. The food was good - some dishes better than others as is often the case.
We stayed in an Executive Garden room at the adjoining Ellington Lodge which is their top graded room. It was lovely to have your own terrace seating area opening out onto the lawn area. The weather was kind, but if you aren't so lucky with the weather then the additional cost of this room would not be worthwhile.
The room was comfortable and reasonably spacious with an excellent and large en-suite bathroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room was quite warm and the a/c didn't seem to be achieving much. Maybe that was operator error.
The cooked breakfast was of a very high standard and the service was again very good
The most outstanding feature was the service we received from all the staff but I must make mention of Heather who looked after us during our evening meal. She went out of her way to ensure that my birthday celebration was one to remember. A big thank you to all the team and Heather in particular.
Sue on reception at Ellington Lodge was friendly, welcoming and efficient.
A really enjoyable experience and very good value for money too.
    Would love to return.

Ive stayed at this hotel many times over the last 6 years, the staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The beds are soooo comfy. Rooms are air conditioned. Food in the mouldy fig restaurant is really nice home cooked food. Breakfast is also cooked to order and is really nice. Well done to Sue and the team x

Just a one night stay here on the evening of my daughters wedding. The room was very nice as were all the staff.

Even though I lived nearby for years and visited the Concorde club I had never taken much notice of the hotel, the grounds in which it sits is lovely, with plenty of trees and a river.

Breakfast was the same as you'd cook at home, very large, we found it a task to eat as we had cereal etc before the full English.

As we were only there one night and out in the evening we did not eat in the restaurant so could not comment on the food, however, we did have a night cap and were surprised by the cost, £9.50 for two drinks, hence to say we did not have another, this is the only down side of the hotel, if the drinks were cheaper then perhaps the bar would have been full (there were only 4 people in total).

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room near reception which was very nice, we could not fault it.

We went to a family reunion in Chandlers Ford on Saturday the 21st of June 2014 which was a great day out meeting up with so many. We stayed overnight just down the road in Eastleigh, we stayed at the Ellington Lodge at the Concorde we had two doubles which were a little on the small side but for £79 a night per room we are not complaining the bar area was was very nice and the bar food was just what we needed. The hotel rooms are quiet and very comfortable in the morning we had breakfast which was included in the price I had a full English which went down very nicely. I would recommend this hotel for any one looking in this area.

The hotel grounds are lovely but the room was quite dated. The walls in room 118 was very scuffed and when I went to use the hair dryer it stopped working. I called reception and was told no spares available. I had to drive to asda and buy one. Bed very hard and lumpy. Breakfast lovely.
