Visited as a party of six on Saturday night, having fond memories of the what we used to call "The Sausage Pub". Sadly, the extensive sausage selection is no more with perhaps eight to choose from now. The service was painfully slow, taking over an hour to serve us three platters (total 18 sausages with mash and veg). We were told at one point they were busy and our food would be 15-20 mins longer, took another half hour and no offer of drinks or nibbles to keep us going. Other tables were waiting a long time too.
The food was good, but the evening was soured by poor service and their perception that they'd done nothing wrong. Yes they were full, but we had pre-booked and I don't think 10 tables should be such a challenge and their attitude was disappointing.

Been a local resident for 17 years and frequented the Sussex Brewery know locally as the sausage pub for years. Popped in this evening for sausage and mash. Should be easy but undercooked sausages were returned to be cooked properly only to have sausages pink and uncooked inside returned to table. To add insult to injury, we ordered our meal before the table next to us but they were served and finished their meal before our undercooked sausages even first arrived. Still charged full amount and no sign of chef to apologise / justify - hey ho. Will take our money to tescos next time and I'm sure I'll cook the sausages thoroughly!

Great place for the Sausage lover with many different varieties the platter is served with mash veggies onions and comes with great service. It does seem expensive at first but the quality and service makes up for it!
