Description: The Lord Raglan is an 18th Century traditional pub, backing on to the Slipper Mill Pond and the River Ems. This lively pub is well known locally for its friendly atmosphere, great food and top notch real ale. There is an exciting selection of dishes to enjoy from bar snacks to three course meals - the sizzles and steak and mushroom pie are a must, very tasty. Weekends are very busy so it is well worth booking a table if you wish to eat. Sunday evening is live music night which is hugely popular and has a regular following and draws a friendly mixed crowd.

“Okay food, good service”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Visited this restaurant with the family. Good service, nice English pub. Was a Sunday so did expect it to be busy. The food was mediocre at best. To be honest, over priced for what it was (None of us had the roast). But for a hearty Sunday lunch, I would say worth a visit.

I'm surprised none of your group had our Sunday roasts, which are fantastic to say the least! The rest of our meals range from £5.95 to £10.95 with an exception of steaks which can cost up to £22.
I think £10.95 for a meat-filled, homemade steak, ale and mushroom pie is a fair price? I have paid up to £14 in some establishments and been disappointed on discovering they were bought in. I personally don't think £9.95 for a duck salad, or £8.95 for a scampi meal is extortionate?? Try our roasts £8.95 or £6.95 for a smaller portion. Fair prices I think.

Great location. Superb beer garden for the summer and log fires for the winter. Family friendly. Good food and beer. What more could you want?

“Refreshments having walked Thorney Island”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

Stopped here for a coffee, rest and drink following a walk round the perimeter of Thorney Island. Conveniently situated, the garden overlooks the Emsworth marina.

A pretty little garden. Not large but has tables for at least 40.

We didn't stop to eat although the menu was typical pub food.

Not a destination pub quite but nice stopping off point

“Great Food”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

I love my good pub food and the landlady at Lord Raglan does know how to cook my special lever. I have tried all the local pubs but no one cooks it like she does. It cost a bit but its soooooooooooo worth it ;-) Great atmosphere, fantastic pub food (the best I have had for years!)
Beautiful Garden to sit in. They do look after you very well. Thank you

“Great atmosphere, lovely staff, excellent food.”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Sally and her staff at the Lord Raglan have been consistently superb. Always a friendly welcome and a cheery farewell. The atmosphere in the pub is charming and traditional and attracts a wide range of ages. The garden is neat, pretty and perfectly positioned by the waterside. The bar food is good quality and value and the restaurant food is excellent. They have a traditional and modern menu that changes all the time - a sign of good ingredients, innovation and respect of the seasons. They welcome well behaved dogs on leads. They'll put the telly on if you want and have live music most weekends. We have visited several times over the last four months and never had a bad experience. We moved to Emsworth a few months ago and have tried all the local pubs - this is by far the best in town!
