“Pleasant weekend break”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

My husband and I spent a pleasant weekend here at the end of July with our two single friends. We needed B and B accommodation near to Portsmouth and the Jingles fitted the bill very well.
We received a friendly welcome on arrival and were given a map of nearby Emsworth showing eating options for the evening.
The bedrooms were in the main house, ours being double aspect with the bathroom window facing the front, whilst the bedroom looked out to the rear over the garden and farmland. It was clean and comfortable, with tea things and bottled water supplied.
Breakfast consisted of a wide range of self service cereal, fruit, yogurt etc. with hot food cooked to order, the smoked salmon and scrambled egg muffins were particularly delicious. Service was always prompt and friendly. I liked being able to make my toast when I wanted it.
There was a well furnished lounge downstairs with newspapers available, which was ideal for meeting our friends. Off road parking was never a problem as there was plenty of space.
My only minor criticism was that on both occasions, the shower became quite hot for a while during use which could be distressing.
We would be happy to stay here again and would recommend to others.

We live 70 miles from West Wittering, at short notice we planned to visit the coast and decided to stay overnight on Thur 24th July 20124. We booked Jingles as it was one of very few options at below £ 100 for Bed & Breakfast with ensuite facilities. It was described as a guest house, so I didn't have high expectations. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Nice rooms, good welcome, we were asked about our evening plans & were given a useful map to show pubs & restaurants. Emsworth is a nice little town, with a large quayside & is just about walking distance from Jingles. Goodnight sleep & good breakfast.

We had 3 nights at Jingles to explore the surrounding area. We stayed in the lodge, next door but one, but breakfast is served in the main building. This is not a problem. Our room at the rear of the lodge was fine and exceptionally clean and quiet. Fresh towels were provided each day. The breakfast was very good and the service excellent.

Room Tip: Upstairs at the rear are quiet and have views over the garden and fields.

We booked through a last minute website, just looking for somewhere cheap and not too far from home in Bournemouth.
On arrival we were impressed with the outside and the surroundings (overlooking fields) and went inside to check in.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful giving us tips on were to go for dinner that night and which local taxi firm to use.
We were again very impressed with our room. Very clean and tidy. The bathroom to was Immaculate and the view from our window was idyllic.
After a great nights sleep in a lovely comfy bed we went down for breakfast which was lovely and checked out.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel. We will be sure to stay again in the future.

Had reason to visit the area on business recently and picked this place based on numerous reviews and its handy location.
Welcomed by a very nice and friendly lady who kindly gave us the low down on the local area including the best pubs and restaurants in the town, The blue bell in Emsworth was on the list and we enjoyed a great dinner there. Breakfast at The Jingles was very nice indeed. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and well equipped.
Everything was absolutely spot on, no hesitation recommending the place.

We stayed here for one night, the room was clean and tidy, the shower worked well. There was a good range of foods for breakfast only issue was the toaster decided to only cook on one side, probably user error!

I had an extremely comfortable stay. In a very pleasant single room with a really roomy bed with a comfortable mattress.
A lovely dressing table and chair (most important when you are getting ready to go!) A hair dryer and very important tea making facilities
A great choice of breakfast in a bright cheerful dining room with nice view.
Extremely helpful - I am slightly disabled - they carried my luggage to my room and when I left they packed my car for me.
Thank you - I will be back often.

Room Tip: There is no lift - if stairs are difficult for you - request a ground floor room
