We had lunch here last Friday, and had a superb meal. My wife had the cod and said it was the best she had ever tasted. I had the turbot and enjoyed it immensely. Our guest was most impressed by the array of raspberry desserts! Service was faultless, and we had a really enjoyable time. I would also add a big thank you to them for not following the current trend in restaurants, which is to have NO carpets, NO tablecloths, NO curtains - thereby raising the decibel level above human endurance. In this lovely comfortable and beautifully decorated restaurant we were able to have a sensible conversation in excellent surroundings. Many thanks to them.

This restaurant is well known on the South coast. We booked a lunch on a whim and were not disappointed. Welcome was warm although parking is problematic. The staff were lovely, attentive and yet low key. The main dining room is very welcoming and abit like eating in a really nice living room. Not crowed with great views out over the harbour.
Food: brilliant. Such value as a set lunch £28 for 3 courses. Charred Calves liver was sensational. We will be back!

Great food, a really classy ambience and a cheese board to die for! We go back at least twice a year and will be going again soon. Although not cheap, it is incredibly good value

Delicious food,

To start, an amuse bouche of cold tomato soup with hot pesto injection, an excellent acompanyment to the warm home made breads.

Next, seared scallops that were to die for and a liver and chocolate pate - both stunning, with a glass of the house rose that is petillant and delicious.

Main, brill for my wife and quail for me, washed down with a kiwi sauvugnon blanc (that wasn't cold enough, the only negative the entire evening) and couple of glasses of Aussie cab sav/Shiraz

Amuse Boucher of chocolate and orange.

Puddings, a quintet of lemon desserts with two glasses of ximinez liquid raisin sherry.

Attentive but not intrusive service, £189 before tip for a truly memorable wedding anniversary dinner.

Something of a treat this, midweek lunch today at a good restaurant and for the special occasion this place doesn't disappoint.

Emsworth in itself is charming, I'd requested a window table so we had a view over the quay through lunch and watching the world go by, especially the fishermen landing their haul of cockles.

Fresh local food, beautifully presented and prepared with care and attention.

I have to give special mention to the rhubarb souffle that I had for dessert, a spoonful, in the mouth vanished on the tongue leaving a taste of warm rhubarb, it was exceptional.

One oddity; for our wine choice we selected "a half bottle of Rose" . We were presented with a full sized bottle but only half full, strange. Tasted alright, could have been anything in there though as we didn't see it opened.

We enjoyed a very memorable lunch. Top marks.
Lunch for two with drinks, wine & tip = £200
