“Pleasantly surprised”
Reviewed 29 March 2014 via mobile

Had a great meal here in the week and found the staff very friendly the food was lovely with plenty of choice on the menu. I liked the idea of bringing your own drinks as it really did keep the price of the evening down. I look forward to my next visit in the near future

“Relaxed Indian with "bring your own drink" rule”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

Not far from Fareham Train Station you will find this small friendly Indian Restaurant. You will be instantly suprised by the number of dishes on the menu you will not see in other restaurants. For example I had a Sandesh starter followed by a Chicken dish cooked with Paneer and potato's. My wife had a Chicken Shaslick, delivered to the table on sizzling metal dish. Friendly atmosphere, good service and you can bring your own wine (in fact I think the place is unlicensed so they do not sell alcohol).

“A little gem! ”
Reviewed 3 November 2013 via mobile

Although nothing to look at from the outside, the food in this Indian restaurant is delicious and well priced. As everyone else points out they do BYO alcohol, as they do not have a licence, which helps keep down the cost of an evening out. I've been here twice in the past few weeks. Once on a Mon (when they did 10% discount for cash payments) and on a Fri. As with all restaurants Mon was very quiet but Fri was packed. Advise booking on a Fri night. We had an array of prawn and chicken dishes and everyone's comments were the same.....delicious! In addition to great food, friendly staff. We have become regulars!

“sea of delight”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

My family & I visited the sea of spice a couple of weeks ago after hearing It mentioned by some friends as a very good Indian Restaurant where you could take your own alcoholic drinks. We arrived and were shown to a table. The menus themselves are very classy which Instantly gives a positive feel. A kind of typical Indian selection with all the favourites plus a few different dishes. WE chose a couple of mixed starters to share and these were very good Indeed. Each of us had different main course and they were all excellent, the taste was good and quality of cooking superb. The potion size was ample and we were all fed well enough not to require a sweet. The touches I particularly enjoyed were the dish warmers that kept the food hot and the plates themselves that were hot as in too many restaurants these days the plates are cold. The only negative I can report is that my son asked for a coke and It was flat so we Informed them of this and they brought another but this again was flat. Overall a very enjoyable first but certainly not the last visit to this little gem.
