“Excellent Value and environment.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014

I was attending a course just outside Guildford for 20 days. At reasonably short notice Park Lodge was able to accommodate me for 19 of the 20 days.
I found this establishment not only secure and very comfortable but also nothing was too much trouble. In addition, I was offered a discount without asking.

Practically as well they offer a kitchen facility with microwave. I found this invaluable as is gives choice of not having to eat out or have take always for an evening meal.

Superb breakfast! I eat predominantly vegetarian foods and I was looked after very well.
Can not recommend Park Lodge guest house enough. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: I stayed in two rooms over my stay and the standard was excellent in both.

This Bed and Breakfast guest house is top quality.
We arrived in the car park and before we had locked the car, Martin, the proprietor, was greeting us and offering to carry our luggage.
Check in was simple and Martin was very perceptive; my colleague is deaf without his hearing aid and was therefore given a ground floor room and advised that once he locked his door to remove the key so that in the event of a fire, access could be gained to wake him.
We were asked about our intention for an evening meal and given some excellent advice about the best local places to eat. Many within walking distance. Martin also provided details of a local taxi service should we prefer not to walk or drive ourselves. There is also a kitchenette available if you prefer to stay in.
Breakfast was first rate with a wide choice of options. The full english breakfast had artisan sausages of the best quality - a pleasant change from usual cheap and nasty ones served by most B&Bs.
We had one issue when a fuse tripped on a lighting circuit, but a ring on the service bell had Martin respond very swiftly to fix the issue.
The rooms were spacious and well appointed with very comfortable bed and the bathroom had a power shower which I have never experienced in a B&B before. All areas were immaculately clean.
The only downside is the popularity - so book early to avoid disappointment

The room was a little bit small and the wifi was not very stable. But is a good place to sleep because is quit, the attention is first class type and the breakfasts are wonderful!. There is a very good pub near from there, you can go walking .....!

Martin will give you a warm, friendly welcome and then help carry your case to your room. Our room was upstairs but he does have ground floor rooms. We asked for a quiet room so he gave us a room at the back of the house although I shouldn't think any rooms would be very noisy here.

The room wasn't large and only had room for one chair but was good value for money in a fairly expensive area.

Breakfast is really excellent for a guest house. The eggs Benedict was so good I had it three days out of four although I was tempted by the eggs Florentine too. Nice yoghurt, bananas, apples, porridge, cereals, muffins and any other variation on the usual English breakfast ingredients you can think of are served in a lovely, new breakfast and reception extension. All I would have liked was a teapot Martin - I don't like dipping a teabag in a cup at breakfast but it's a small point!

Martin is a font of local information and will point you to a couple of local eating places but he has a good taxi service on tap to take you to the wide choice of eating places in the Morrisons shopping centre. There is good parking at the rear.

We will certainly be coming back to this very good guest house later in the year. Keep up the good work!

Have just returned from 3 night stay at this B&B which I would strongly recommend. Even accommodated one small well behaved dog. Comfortable room and breakfast was excellent. Charming Host. Good parking. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Thank you Martin for your hospitality.

Stayed here with a group of friends during our visit to the darts at Lakeside. Spoke to Martin following the booking to arrange an early check in which was no problem at all - for all 4 rooms. Martin also recommended a taxi company and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble during our stay. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. I'd definitely stay again if going to the area in the future.

I stayed at Park Lodge for two weeks while in the UK on business. Park Lodge is very well run, the rooms are spacious and clean and the whole place is very comfortable. Martin goes out of his way to make his guests feel welcome.
