We were travelling to a friend's birthday celebration the following day and as the route can be, notoriously, busy, we felt it would be sensible to travel down the night before. We left our home at 9pm to avoid Bank Holiday traffic arriving at the hotel just before 11pm. The foyer was empty and just as we were about to use the self check-in facilities a member of staff appeared. She was pleasant and very helpful but not overly welcoming. We went up to our room which was exactly like all the Premier Inn rooms although the painting on the wall was slightly different to other hotels in the chain. As expected we were very comfortable for the night. It was quiet and with the thermostat we were able to keep the room temperature at the level we wanted. On this occasion we skipped breakfast and just used their coffee making facility. On leaving we were met in the lift by two very friendly chamber maids who wished us a pleasant day and hoped we had a comfortable stay.

We stayed overnight in May 2014. The hotel is fairly new and nice and clean and well designed. The room was spotless, quiet and well layed out. Nice to have a proper bath but still a good shower. We ate in the restaurant which they call the kitchen. You get free salad from the salad bar - nice and fresh but it was very limited - no competition for the Harvester salad bar. Menu a bit limited but food was well cooked and tasty. We wanted non-alcoholic drinks - they were rather expensive - £2.25 for a can of coke. We also wanted a quiet meal but in the corner there was a coffee table with 4 people having a loud business meeting shouting into phones and laptops. Other customers moved away from them.
But our room was really nice and good value at £60. So I'd recommend the hotel but if you have time go somewhere else to eat for a better dining experience.

I used to live in Fleet many moons ago, so treated myself to an overnight stay so I could explore and re-visit all my old haunts. The location was ideal - well within walking distance of the town centre and with ample parking. I had room 124, which looked out over the side of the car park, but was very quiet - I heard no noise at all. And the air con was a real boon as it was an exceptionally warm weekend. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, as was the bathroom - and it was nice to have the choice of both a shower and a bath. A lovely lad helped me with the on-line check in when I arrived, and all the staff I spoke to during my stay were polite, helpful and happy. All in all I was very impressed and will definately return for future stays.

We have just returned from a night in the 7 month old Premier Inn in Fleet, England where we were guests in a nearby house. We had been told that it was a newly built hotel, and we therefore expected it to be in tiptop condition - which it was. We could find no fault in it whatsoever, and therefore were delighted with our short break, staff who were charming and couldn't do enough to help, an excellent breakfast - and 2 lakes nearby where the peace and quiet were only interrupted occasionally by the call of the swans! We will be in the Premier Inn in Taunton next so we look forward to it.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back of the hotel are quieter

We stayed in this hotel as it was only about 25 minutes away from Thorpe Park. We were greeted on arrival even though it was quite late and check in was very prompt. We stayed for 2 nights and had a good night sleep on both nights. Fleet is a lovely town. Would thoroughly recommend for visits to Thorpe Park, especially as it is such good value for money.

We chose this hotel because of it
- being new
- was recommended by a family member who is in the hotel business
- and because of distance to family

We stayed for over 7 nights
2 adults and 3 kids stayed in 2 interconnecting rooms (called family rooms at the hotel).
Upon arrival, Tom was very kind and helpful.
Rooms were almost ready as we checked in before 2PM.

The main problem was with room cleaning, and I will describe a bit this issue, if you are not interested, you may continue below to the other items.
Our bathroom was not cleaned every day, our stained sheets (from our baby) were not changed and despite our comments and requests to the person in charge (a very nice chap called Tom) things did not change.
Apparently the policy is not to clean the room, just to make the bed.
Size of the rooms was considerably smaller than regular rooms (107 vs room 102, which was much larger). Garbage from the bin was not taken away.
This is specially important when (in our opinion) you travel with children.

Room: As you would expect, comfortable bed, choice of pillows. Windows can not be opened so A/C is a must. Small desk, plenty of outlets. Lighting is ok. I could not hear noise from the street. Curtains do not isolate the room 100% from the morning sun. Rooms do not have phones.
Room 102 was much larger than our family rooms 107-108.

Breakfast: For 6.25 (for the continental breakfast) you can have as much coffee (expresso-capuccino and the sorts), tea, juices, as you like. Cereal, bread, butter and jam, yoghurt. I think it is a good deal considering that Starbucks, Costa or others charge between 2 and 4 pounds per drink. I believe the hot breakfast adds about 2 pounds to this, but I did not choose it.

Wi fi: Choice of 30 min free or £3/day or £10/week - up to 2 devices. You must re-log in if you put your computer to sleep, or leave your tablet without use for some minutes. This means having to enter your username & password each time, which can be a bit annoying.

Service: What can you expect for a 50 pound a night hotel? Service is adequate for what you pay. Four Seasons has a different service, but you can expect to pay over 500 pounds per night (at the FS Hampshire for example). What I did expect (and didn´t happen) was that when we arrived with our kids carrying them asleep at night, the person on duty was not kind enough to open the door for us.

Nice facility, clean ambience. Beware of this flaw, especially if you bring babies/kids.
