“Good curry, service was attentive but slow”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

8 of us went for a meal on a Saturday night. The restaurant was fairly busy, but comfortably so.

We ordered a variety of dishes between us. Service was good, but it did take a while for the food to come out. We didn't mind as it gave us opportunity to chat and hopefully means the food was freshly cooked.

I had chicken tikka masala and shared an egg fried rice and garlic naan. I also tried some of the peshwari chicken curry. All was tasty and well cooked and it seemed everyone else enjoyed their food too. It's not anything spectacular, but just your average Indian curry house fare done well.

In total we spent just under £20 a head for drinks, poppadoms, mains and sides. Not bad value for money overall.

Not from the local area so can't compare, but would recommend if seeking a curry in Havant.

“Don't settle for mediocre !”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

If this is the best Curry house in Havant - then go a bit further to Emsworth. We were recommended to go here but once in the door did not want to stay, so ordered a take way. 45 minutes later………. 2 staff scrabbling around for bits of paper led us to think they had messed up our order (after being there 30 mins waiting for our take away). Then a member of staff seeing me looking at my watch, told me they were "very busy", 4 people waiting tables and not a full restaurant was not "busy" - 10 minutes later we are told 2 minutes……. then the "driver" appeared with our food…. hey ho, our food had been for a drive round the block to no where as they mistook it for a telephone order . Not even an apology - took our cold food home and microwaved it - result - total rubbish. Go to Spice Village in Emsworth, much better food and top notch service. They need some women working in their to get them organised!!!
