Rooms could do with a little updating but comfy.staff friendly but seemed a little over worked in the pub restaurant with a party of six on a Saturday afternoon , but food still good. Breakfast choice great and very tasty with lots of choice .great value for money very quiet.only let down was we had to leave by 7am on Sunday and could not have breakfast, no compensation offered.we stayed 2 nights. Rooms have clean fresh towels , soft fresh bedding, hair dryer , iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facility.

Had to opt for a twin room. The beds were very narrow & seemed very high. Tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer etc in the room - so lots of facilities.
The omelette was not good in the morning in the hotel - I left almost all of it. Rest fine though.

One great thing - it's directly opposite a superb Indian restaurant called The Hook Tandori - if you do nothing else - make sure you eat here - wonderful food in this award winning restaurant - but you'll need to book on Friday & Saturday nights.....

Room Tip: Ensure you book early to get a double room!

My partner and I were looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights and found The Raven Hotel. It had ample car parking space and was located next to the train station; making local travel cheap and easy (incidentally, there was no excessive noise due to the close proximity of the station).

We found the staff polite and friendly and the room clean and well prepared. The bed was a little too soft for my liking but certainly not uncomfortable. The usual tea/coffee making facilities were provided, along with tv and stereo / radio, and the room was a good size. For the record, we were in room 7 and this was overlooking a side street. There was very little traffic and noise resulting in a peaceful nights sleep for both of us.

We dined in the restaurant both evenings as this suited our schedule. Meals were nicely prepared and freshly cooked, delivered to our table by a friendly waitress (I forget her name, sorry!) Likewise, the breakfasts were also good with a varied selection of fruits, cereals, yoghurts, cooked breakfasts and so forth.

We would be happy to enjoy a short stay at The Raven Hotel again should we be in the area.

Stayed here for just one night while visiting Farnborough Airshow. Our room was a good size and bed very comfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful and car park large and free at weekends.
We ate there and it was good quality pub grub. Didn't see anywhere else to eat on our short walk around Hook. Breakfast was very busy due to large party men working in the area. However staff managed well and food was freshly cooked.
All in all we enjoyed our one night here and would certainly stay again if we go to Airshow next year.

Room Tip: We had room 16 which overlooked side street and was quiet.

We stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend and really thought that it was very good value,
Although it's part of a hotel group, you get the feeling of a family run establishment with all of the staff very pleasant and helpfull. We ate in the restaurant 2 of the 3 nights and enjoyed the Friday night "Steak Sizzler" but the other night was a bit hit or miss on the bar meals. We were a table of 13 and the quality of food varied greatly. Maybe the kitchen struggled with the big table. Breakfast is excellent. A really good selecton and all cooked fresh to order which is a great improvement on the usual buffet style. The Raven and Hook is a good base but not much going on in the village itself. Would recommend it as a good buget option and yes we would stay again.

Before we booked we enquired about check in time as it was 3pm stated on the website but we was off to a wedding which started at 2pm so we needed an early check in to get ready and leave for the wedding. The staff said they would try their best to get our rooms ready. When we arrived the rooms where ready and they had our keys out ready to let us into our rooms! Fantastic! I don't know many hotels that do this for you!

Staff was friendly, lovely little doggies in reception too!

Free breakfast was included which was lovely too! Nice fry up.

All I could say to improve is to have two pillows instead of one as our necks was a bit stiff the next day. But apart from that it was lovely and I would stay again!
