“Wonderful Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2014

Went for a week at end August 2013. Stopped in a Becton Lodge and returning this year. Family of four, with 2 children under 5. Had a fantastic time. Lodges are immaculate - the best we've found, and the hot tub was great. The park is well laid out and the staff are very friendly. The evening entertainment is really good old fashioned fun and the kids loved it - bar not too expensive and great children's playground and an arcade. Ate a couple of times - decent food at a reasonable price with nice friendly service (not the plastic 'hi guys, is everything alright with your meal' which I really hate) So much to see nearby - Beaulieu is fantastic and Bournemouth beach only 30 minutes away. Muddyford Quays only 10 minutes. Supermarkets/takeaways all within easy reach.

Stayed in Hoburne Naish last September (2013) for one week. We stayed in a Becton Lodge. What can I say AMAZING. The lodge blew all our minds away. TV in all the bedroom, kitchen and large one in the lounge. spotlessly clean maid service twice in the week. very large fridge and freezer. lovely welcome pack on arrival with dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, dishcloths and toilet paper. Beds were all very comfortable no complaints from anyone. The location of the Becton lodge are all great right opposite reception and bar, though no passing noise so no disturbances at night.

The rest of the park:

we were out of season so it was fairly quiet however I can imagine that at the peak of the summer the club house would be very crowded. the entertainment wasn't fantastic but we were in a crowd so entertained our self. the pool was lovely our 2 year old loved the baby pool all the fountains and sprays were great.

the onsite shop is well stocked and not to overly priced. Arcade was very dated as was the park .Lovely soft play area for the under 8's. located right next to the bar

about a 5 min walk to the pebble beach.

all in all a good park and would recommend. Great location to visit Peppa Pig world.

Booked for a week but had to return early to go to work. It's the start of the season so we expected the accommodation (lodge) to be in tip top condition. A pile of Dirty rather smelly clothes were found on a shelf in the wardrobe so they obviously hadn't cleaned properly over the closed season. Lots of cobwebs in the bedrooms.
On a positive note the children's entertainment was very good, an improvement on recent years. The staff were on the dance floor with the kids to a greater degree and our daughter enjoyed the games. Lady in the site shop was lovely and reception staff were helpful.
The trees on site have took a bit of a battering in the recent storms but broken trees were being removed. Arcade still looks a bit tired. The pool was lovely and pool staff were welcoming.
We will return as Naish holidays are a family tradition.

I have stayed at Hoburne Naish several times over the past 10 years and cannot think of anything bad to say about it. This year I booked a Chetwin Lodge and on arrival the check in was quick and the staff were very friendly & efficient.
The lodge itself was spotless and the appliances all worked. It was very spacious and the furniture - including the beds - were extremely comfortable. Having free access to WIFI was an added bonus.
I would highly recommend this site, The location is great, 30 minute drive to Bournemouth, 40 to Poole and 10 to Christchurch. There is also an excellent bus service which stops just outside the park itself.
You can walk to the beach between 1 & 5 minutes depending on where on the park you are staying. It has stunning views when walking along the cliff tops.

As a child, I used to stay at Hoburne Naish regularly, and returning in Summer 2013 brought back so many happy memories, from the beach path to Sammy the Seahorse. My parents, my grandfather and I stayed in a Becton lodge which was very close to the main entertainment areas, however it was a relatively long walk to the beach, which was quite difficult for my mother and grandfather. The lodge was top quality, with comfortable beds, sofas and a terrace, which during the 2 week heatwave for our holiday was a sun trap! I spent many an hour in the games arcade and the bowling alley, which is fun for all the family, and overall it added to the many great memories I have of the area. I'd love to return soon

Know this site very well used it for eleven years and took me all of that time to see how badly it is managed.
The entertainment has gone right down hill ( due to management ) instead of picking acts from outside they now have the same team year after year and its downright boring for all .

The manager himself is just complacent wont listen to anyone hides himself away in his office rather than face people. ( nasty man ) bring back Mr Seeney the old manager he was a nice man who understood that people came to this site for a holiday not aggro.

The area the site is located cant be any better , the new forest just a couple of miles away and you are right on top of the beach. Plenty of other places to visit within the area.

We arrived on the 28th October the day of the "storm" and expected the worst but in fact everything was fine if there had been problems you would not have known. The Lodge was very good (Solent) and spacious, very well equipped and good quality furnishings, they are well spaced out and near to your parking area which are plentiful, the on site restaurant was very big and the food was excellent for the price, we did not use the entertainment room as our son and his friend are nearly 16 and this was aimed at younger children but seemed popular.
All in all we had a very welcome break and will definitely go back.
Only negative was the showers were very poor but it is to be expected on such a large site as water pressure will be under strain. The location is fabulous.

Room Tip: We had a Solent Villa in The Meadow and it was nice and quiet
