We had a nice lunch in this charming cafe with good service and a relaxing atmosphere. There is a menu on the table, as well as a specials board. We had the jacket potato with cheese and baked beans and accompanying salad, and also the cottage pie with beans, all good helpings, which were followed by cappuccinos. There are also some delicious looking cakes in the glass counter. The Cafe is situated on New Milton's High Street (Station Road) and there are two car parks within easy walking distance, bus stops and a train station also.

I popped in with my son and mother for a quick cup of tea. We had a mini cream tea which was nice. They provided a highchair for my son, but did not have a changing table.
Nice for a quick bite to eat

If by traditional- the word is used above the door - they mean old fashioned poor English customer service then they have it bang on the money!

It wasn't particularly busy but the staff seemed flustered. Two simple coffees took, and I timed this carefully, 7 minutes to emerge from somewhere out the back.

New Milton and Station Road in particular has any number of cafes i.e. Lots of competition.

All of those I have tried so far have the beating of this one by a mile.

We visited after a long drive down to the New Forest and chose Forest Edge Cafe for lunch. The food was tasty and well cooked and we were served by friendly and efficient staff. Couldn't have asked for anything more!
