Lovely old cottage in a quiet location yet only a few steps to the High Street. Welcomed with refreshments and shown to a large, bright room. Tastefully furnished with linked single beds, a sofa and writing desk. Equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay including a well stocked drinks tray and a small fridge containing fresh milk and space for a bottle of wine or tonics (a nice environment to enjoy a drink before supper). Breakfast wasn't taken but judging by the overall standard it is certain to be good. Well located for local walks including Selborne, the Devil's Punch Bowl and the Downland Museum. A B & B to visit again when in the area.

Very many thanks for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you and we're delighted you enjoyed staying at Border Cottage and found it so convenient for the town and local restaurants. We look forward to welcoming you back on another visit to walk the South Downs.

Yet another perfect all-round stay at Border Cottage. This is now our go-to get-away from the kids for a peaceful, relaxing & friendly stay. Laura made us feel so welcome again & booked us a restaurant too for our late evening arrival. The warm & cozy bedroom was exactly what was needed for a very cold December weekend & with the breakfast in bed it meant we almost didn’t have to get out from under the duvet. Although the cottage is perfectly located for shopping in Petersfield whilst also a very short drive to the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Thank you again Laura for making it such a special place.

We always stay at Border Cottage when visiting Petersfield (wife's home town) from Sydney, Australia. This visit we stayed 6 nights and again enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and Laura's attentive and caring nature. The room of course is an oasis of stylish comfort, certainly not chintzy like many B&B's we've experienced. Lovely hot shower and a superb continental breakfast. The central location of Border Cottage so close to the high street, yet very quiet at night, ticks all the boxes. May Border Cottage thrive for many more years.

Lovely B&B in one of the original dwellings of Petersfield. so close to the town centre but still quiet. Very comfortable bed in a large well equipped upstairs bedroom ( the only one! ). The owner made us very welcome and we would certainly stay there again if in the area.
There is no parking either on the premises or in the street outside, but there is a public car park immediately adjacent to the cottages ( free overnight and on Sundays ) and there are local roads you can park in without restrictions. Highly recommended.

I work away from home a lot and stay in bed and breakfast accommodation all over the country.
I can honestly say that Border Cottage is the best accommodation that I have ever stayed in.
A beautiful large room with its own sitting room area. Very comfy king size bed and an excellent rainfall shower.
Border Cottage is right in the town centre, but very peaceful. There is a public car park right next door which is reasonably priced.
In summary if you are visiting Petersfield, look no further. HIGHLY recommended.
