This farmhouse is a real gem. We were on an overnight break to take our 2 year old to Peppa Pig World (which was just a few miles up the road) and we were so relaxed by the time we left we felt we'd had a much longer stay. This is not a B&B that wants to be a small boutique hotel - it is a proper B&B where you are lavished with the care and attention of the family who live there. The room was nicely decorated with a big, comfortable bed. There was a small wood burning stove and a modern (if a little compact) bathroom with a great shower. We went to sleep in the silence you can only get in the deep country and were woken by the clip clop of horses hooves on the road. When we threw back the curtains two ponies were grazing in the front garden. If you love horses this is heaven. The farm has stables where there are about 17 horses. Our little girl was taken on a tour and was even invited to sit on one. She loved it and still hasn't stopped talking about the horses. My husband is vegan so when we go away he resigned himself to breakfast being a piece of dry toast and baked beans - but not here. Dairy free margarine, soya milk and a full fried breakfast of vegetarian sausage, beans, mushrooms, potatoes and even fried bread was laid before him. His eyes lit up. It was the kind of care and attention you wouldn't get in a five star hotel.
