“Fantastic weekend for preschoolers!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2011

Just back from a weekend at Peppa Pig World at Paulton's Park with a 4 and nearly 2 yr old and what a fantastic weekend we had.
Booked it all through Paultons who were very efficient and helpful. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Winchester which is pretty new and does what it says on the tin. £211 for 2 nights b and b for 4 and entry to the park for 2 days - which I thought was great value.
The park itself was clean, well kept and even the original park, although older seemed well maintained.
The girls LOVED Peppa Pig world and the best thing was only one of the rides had a height restriction so the youngest could go on everything. There's also a large indoor softplay, a great park and the Muddy Puddles splashzone was a real hit (take swimming costumes and towels).
Because the rest of the park is also aimed at young families my 4 yr old could go on many of the rides in it too - small rollercoasters, chairoplanes, etc., which she loved.
There was plenty to keep them occupied for 2 full days - we were there for opening and until closing both days!
The only downside was the food. If you're local - take a picnic. Its all a bit greasy burgers, hotdogs and chips, which isnt really my cup of tea. The takeaway bit in Peppa Pig world had good value bags for kids with sandwiches, fruit, crisps etc, but the service was really slow and it could do with being double the size.
Al things considered, I'd highly recommend the park to families with particularly preschoolers, but probably those with older siblings up to about 10 would probably enjoy it too. We'll be back!! (despite the 6.5 hr journey each way to get there!)

“Surprisingly good!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2011

We only did Peppa Pig World - not the rest of the park. Queued for an hour to get in and then an hour or so per ride, but the kids enjoyed it. Very pricey at £20 a head. The rest of the park didn't seem as busy. Lots of good rides and stuff going on, very compact and easy to get around. If it's a hot day, bring swimwear and towels - muddy puddles for the kids!

“Super park - awful getting out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2011

We went to Paultons for the 2nd time this August. Really nice park, espeically for little ones and reasonably priced. Lots of play areas, including the big splash park, where kids can just play. Rides decent, Cobra and the Edge are as scary as they get but this is not meant to be Thorpe park. The new Peppa Pig world is well done but was a bit too busy for us so only did one ride. Did win a giant Peppa Pig on the ball & bucket toss! Won one first go so can't be too difficult. Ate in the Wagonners, basic stuff but reasonably quiet, despite a busy day, the kids selection counter (5 things and a piece of fruit) was a good idea. All the staff and ride operators were friendly but some of the operators could been a bit quicker!

Only serious issue was leaving, otherwise would have given 5 stars, There was some rain at about 4pm and this led to total chaos getting out of the car park, we actually left after 5:30 and it still took 30 mins to get out. We went to the car a bit earlier but on gentleman said he has been stationary for an hour so we went back an had a look round the shops and tried again a bit later. This is unacceptable, if the park wants to bring in large numbers you need to be able to get them in and out. Management need to address this.

Other than that this is a fantastic park for families with kids under 12'ish.

“Best theme park for whole famliy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2011

We have been to many theme parks in the UK. This has got to be the best value for money. It has something for every member of the family.

You have the lovely gardens and animals for the older members who are past going on rides.

There are rides tame and scarey. Splash park , huge sandpit, huge playgound area.
It has a great family atmosphere which you don't seem to get at Chessington, Thorpe Park , Alton Towers or Legoland.

The sit on rides where you get ripped off at the seaside or other theme parks are all free here!

Rides are always working and with the addition of Peppa Pig world this is a firm favourite with all our grandchildren.
I honestly can't fault it and I am not easy to please!

We went to this attraction for my son's 2nd Birthday. He wanted to got to Peppa Pig World. It was great. Everything is themed and very well done. The picture we had done at the magic photo shop was great and my son jumping in muddy puddles on a photo is a great memento. the queues were long but all the kids in the queues were very patient and they tended to get a bit quieter around lunch time. All in all a fab day out!!
