We have thoroughly enjoyed two separate full days at paultons park this summer, peppa pig world is well organised, and well planned in every way. Muddy puddles area was absolutely loved by our 3 year olds. (Towel and Spair pants required) really gorgeous Beautifully kept gardens with water features nearby. It's as clean and enjoyable as a day at Disney but more accessible!

Dear Lesley G

Thank you for your 5 star rating. We are delighted to note that you and your family have thoroughly enjoyed your two visits to Paultons over the summer period with Muddy Puddles being a favourite with your children.

It is fantastic to read that you feel our gardens are beautiful. A lot of hard work and effort has gone into the design and presentation by our dedicated grounds and gardens teams and we will be sure to pass on your kind comments to them.

We hope to welcome you back again some time in the near future.

Kind Regards
Paultons Park

Travelled with my husband as a birthday treat for our 3 year old. 6 hour drive away from home. Booked a 2 day short break via the Paultons park website. Stayed at Chilworth Manor approx 15 mins away.

Pros
Very clean
Very safety conscious
Loved the 4D cinema
The FREE parking is to be commended - so much better than other theme parks
Free wifi
The gardens are so tranquil

Cons
They need to invest in more sheltered / under cover areas for poor weather (we are in the UK after all). On Sat 22nd Sept our 1st day it was monsoon weather - the park is not equipped to deal with this and it marred the whole day sadly. No one enjoys being soaked wet through.
They really need to look at the menu in Wild Forest cafe - the food was below average and over priced. £12 for a burger, which was under cooked and sub standard. The kids lunchbox deal was good and my daughter enjoyed that but the wait time for food was nearly 1 hour as everyone had taken refuge from the awful British weather.

Overall was cute as a birthday treat away as my little one loved the Peppa Pig world rides but there was long queues on 22nd September and in the rain this was quite difficult to manage, she was too small for most others as only 90cm tall. our visit on Sun 23rd Sept was much better.

A big than you to the ride operator working on Miss Rabbit's Helicopter on Sun 23rd Sept who told me about Accessible wrist band (I have a disability that makes walking / queuing difficult) and to the lady in the first aid room. They were both so helpful and courteous and made our 2nd day so much better than the 1st.

Dear nurseynurse30

Thank you for taking the time to share your review and feedback with us.

We are pleased to see that you booked a Paultons break package to celebrate your little ones 3rd birthday.

Cleanliness is a top priority here at Paultons and we are thrilled to read that this was noticeable throughout your visit. We will be sure to pass on your kind feedback to our dedicated cleaning team who work tirelessly each day to ensure high standards are met at all times.

We are sorry to hear however that your visit was affected by the adverse weather conditions experienced on the day. There is no doubt that you did not see the Park at its best as we experienced heavy showers which unfortunately is one aspect of the operation of the Park which is totally outside our control. Paultons is an outdoor attraction and whilst we do have a limited number of indoor facilities such as George's Spaceship Play Zone we do not have sufficient facilities to entertain guests all day in indoor areas in weather conditions such as those which you experienced.

Ordinarily we are regularly commend on the quality and cost of the food served in our Wild Forest restaurant however we are sorry to read that you feel this was not the case. We have passed your feedback onto the Catering Management team for their information and attention.

It is brilliant to learn that your second day was better than your first and you found our queue assist scheme to be helpful along with the member of staff at the Helicopters and also our nurse in first aid. We will be sure to pass on your praise to the relevant management teams.

Once again we thank you for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you to Paultons again one day soon.

Kind Regards
Paultons Park

Loved peppa pig world, fabulous day out for the kids.
The animals are such a sad depressed bunch. The poor Macaw was alone and lifeless, quite heart breaking to see these beautiful birds caged and unable to fly. Also boasts that he could fly at 50 miles an hour, no chance! And the poor thing could live till he is 60. A totally unessecary "attraction"

Dear carina c

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are pleased to read that you and your children had a wonderful day visiting Peppa Pig World.

Paultons has an internationally recognised collection of birds and participates in a number of UK and European breeding projects. The Park originally opened as a ‘bird garden’ and has been home to many different species of birds and animals for over 30 years. We are however sorry to learn of your concern with regards to our animals and in particular our Macaw.

We can confirm that the Macaw you saw during your visit did have a female partner who had been at Paultons for just over 10 years of which 7 of those years they both spent together. Unfortunately his partner recently passed away and the whole team here at Paultons were very upset by this as they have both been part of our exotic bird collection for over a decade. There are members of the team that have worked and bonded with both of them for the whole period and the loss was (and continues to be) particularly sad for all involved.

The livestock team have worked tirelessly to find a new home for the Macaw in another collection since the loss of his partner, and can confirm that he will soon be moving to a new home with other Macaws so that he will have the social interaction he needs. Although he will be missed by the team here at the Park, we will all be extremely happy and relieved to see our male Macaw re-homed with other Macaws in the very near future.

We would like to assure you that the health and well-being of all of the creatures at the Park is of paramount importance and we have a dedicated Livestock Manager on site responsible for their care. We have recently been inspected by a Government Zoo Inspector for renewal of our Zoo Licence. We were praised on our collection of birds and animals here at the Park and the conditions as to which they are being kept. We are also inspected by an Exotic Species Veterinary Surgeon on a regular basis.

Once again we thank you for your feedback and we hope to welcome you back at Paultons one day soon.

Kind Regards

Spent the day here with our 2 year old. Peppa Pig was clearly the attraction and this part of the park is very well run. Didn't have to queue for long and got to go on virtually everything. We explored the rest of the park and our little one was denied access to some due to height restrictions. I absolutely respect that and was pleased to see safety being taken seriously even thought little one was a bit disappointed and we were only a couple of CM off the height requirement. A great day out.

Came here on an inset day as felt it might be a quieter time to go, and it was. The kids loved the rides, they particularly loved Peppa Pig world. We ate at the main eatery by the entrance, the food is very average though - quite pricey for what you get, but it comes out very very quickly, but we didn't come for the food so I won't mark it down because of that. Overall a very pleasant experience, and we'll come again (on another inset day!!)
