If there is "heaven on earth" then Hilliers is it. I adore it. peaceful .quiet.no crowds-if you avoid the restaurant.Walking off the beaten track -alone-is a marvellous experience. As is visiting with grandson and exploring trees ,bushes, streams and bamboo.

“beautiful and educational”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

The grounds were breath taking with a beautiful pond and lovely statues all around. We had a guide with our school trip and he was truly passionate about the gardens... lovely to see such enthusiasm. We pond dipped and colour hunted using paint charts and walked on the wobbly bridge and generally explored nature for a whole day. Lovely herb garden , just wander in and brush against! A great day and the children learned loads!

“Delphiniums have the WOW factor”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

A delightful 180 acre garden. The delphiniums in the Centenary garden were absolutely wonderful. There is plenty to see and do here so allow a full day. Good paths - in the woodland area over the road the paths are not so firm so walking trainers might be adviseable The school parties visiting all seemed to be enjoying themselves with the garden's education staff. We will certainly return for a visit to these gardens especially when the rhododendrons are out. Cafe clean and staff helpful and attentive. You can use you 2 for 1 Gardeners' World card here.

“Large and interesting gardens”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

A friend recommended these gardens and we spent a lovely few hours there. The Centenary Border was stunning. There were so many different areas (acers, heathers, water garden etc) that these gardens must be worth visiting at any time of year. When we visited there was also a sculpture exhibition dotted around the gardens.

Spend the day with kids from an Primary School. So as a volunteer parent had the opportunitie to see the garden. Well I didn't see everything but everything I saw was just wow.
