“Local live theatre at its best”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

The plays put on at the Plaza are well produced and directed with an accomplished group of actors. They are very reasonably priced and generally good value. From time to time there are also concerts, usually by the excellent Michelmersh Silver Band. The bar is licenced and open before the show and during the interval.

“Epitome of excellence in a small package”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

If only professional theatres were as well run as this audiences sizes would double.

We have just seen an amazing production of Les Miserables. Three weeks ago we had seen a youth production at a professional theatre in Hampshire but, interestingly, found this show to have a far higher standard in all respects.

The complex and demanding opera took great skill in direction to weld together such a young amateur cast into a vibrant team. The standard of acting and singing was incredible especially given the youth of the actors. There were some amazing voices and expressive acting.

The operation of the whole theatre was most efficient and the front of house, lighting, sound balance, musicians and special effects complemented perfectly the spectacle on stage.

Congratulations to all concerned for their skill and hard work, the professionals could learn much from their dedication to excellence.

A wonderful little theatre. It has a wide range if shows running throughout the year. The standards are very high and ticket prices extremely reasonable.
Do take a trip to see a show there. You won't be disappointed.

“ALLO ALLO”
Reviewed 19 May 2013

This was my first visit to the Romsey Plaza. I had high expectations from what I had heard about this old theatre and was not disappointed. We had a drink in the cosy upstairs bar which was crowded but you could take your drinks into the auditorium in a plastic glass if you wanted. Some of the actors wandered through before the show adding a sense of fun. There is also a large bar and cafe downstairs. Everything was very professional. The ticket prices were good value at £10 and the show was very funny. I would definately go again. We had a lovely evening.
